This waterfront cottage with large deck is located in a quiet cove with a excellent view of the lake. Excellent bass, crappie, bream, and catfishing from the lighted dock. Large lake side yard on private property. Boat ramp on site. No Pets, please.

Located in the Midlands on Lugoff side of lake, 12 miles from Camden, South Carolina with Polo, Steeplechase, or historic sites to visit. Columbia, South Carolina is 30 miles with shopping, Riverbanks Zoo, museums, and State Capital. Midlands are only two hours from the coast (Myrtle Beach or Historic Charleston), Rock Hill, Charlotte and the mountains.

Everything was great. Except having to do a total cleanup before leaving when I paid a clean up fee. They wanted tubs and toilets clean floor sweep and moped. If I do cleaning for them why the fee?

We charge a refundable cleaning fee. If the house is clean then we refund the cleaning fee. Sometimes people will do a partical clean up and get a partical refund. But alot of people don't want to clean up then the cleaning lady charges the cleaning fee.

Perfect weekend getaway

Spent a long weekend here on Lake Wateree and had an incredible time. Located on a very private cove just minutes from the main lake. We brought our pontoon and were able to use the boat ramp right on the property and tied off to the well lit dock all weekend. If upscale and elegant is what you’re looking for, keep looking. If laid back, comfortable, very clean and cozy is your thing, this house is a gem. Great flat backyard, outdoor lighting, speakers, fire pit and much more. Outdoor shower was a great touch and very clean. Breakfast each day in the well stocked kitchen, lunch on the lake and dinner on the grill each night made our stay perfect. Thanks Terry for sharing your home and being so easy to work with.

Would not recommend

I paid way to much for this house only to get there and find that there is no shower in the house. The only shower is outside beside the back deck. Also the TV didn't work half the time and there were only about 6 channels. There was also a note in the "rules" book that stated that the central air was broken and was not to be used. I was very disappointed with the house and didn't feel that it was worth the money that I paid for it. I'll never rent this house again.

I’m sorry you did not feel you got your money’s worth. The note inadvertently got left in the info book from a few weeks before. The unit was on and running when I went in after your visit and was functioning just fine. There is not an inside shower everyone uses the outside shower because it is less to clean. We don't have cable just antenna and I'm not sure why there was a problem with the TV.

Not what expected

This rental was terrible. Things that you find out after you book and it is nonrefundable. NO BED LINENS, TOWELS, WASH CLOTHES, HAND TOWELS, OR paper towel provided. There is NO SHOWER INSIDE, only a tub. There was no hot water when we arrived. The host did not let us know before arrival how to get hot water on. The house needs some serious updating. The location was great and quite and friendly people in town.

We had a great time staying at your place. We were glad that you did have the two window air conditioners when the central air went out-made us able to cool house enough to sleep that night. The unit has been fixed it was a loose wire to the switching valve. The window units do a great job if needed.

Fun in the Sun

Had a great time with my two college age children and myself enjoying some much needed lake time and sun fun while maintaining social distancing during these trying times. Lake Wateree is a beautiful lake and the property was a perfect lake house getaway. The outdoor shower came in very handy coming off the lake.

I fell on the dock the first night and injured my knee. Didn't get back up there until Wednesday. You do have an outdoor shower, but especially for older renters who can't do tubs, you need to clarify there is no indoor shower. There is a bad mosquito issue in the house anywhere there is water...kitchen sink, toilets, etc.

I'm sorry you fell and hurt your knee. I have sprayed for mosquitoes at your suggestion. I also checked the pictures to make sure they don't show an interior shower. Also the verbage for tub only.

Conveniently Located

We had a really enjoyable family weekend at this conveniently located cozy lake cottage. Tucked away in a quiet cove, this lot and house provide the perfect weekend getaway for anyone wanting to fish, swim, or just relax by the dock. We were a quick boat ride from both Clearwater Cove and Beaver Creek, which allowed us to meet family members across the lake. Thanks to Terry for opening up his home to us.

We had a great vacation stay. Sunset is great. House was very clean. Outside shower was great. Lighted dock with ramp for our pontoon and bass boat. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. Charcoal grill and smoker for most evening meals. I don't know what else we could have asked for. The owner was great to work with.

Cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay! I absolutely loved the house! My grandparents had a house on Beaver Creek & it looked so much like this one! We loved the outdoor shower too. We appreciate how organized and clean the house was and we tried to leave it better than we found it. (That was hard it was so clean.) We will be back if you will have us. We really had a great time and loved the easy access to the lake.

We love to fish. The pier and boat ramp make that easy for us. The view from the pier is lovely especially at sunset and the kids enjoyed swimming. We have grown attached to the place over the years and can't imagine Summer without spending a few days here. This is the perfect place to get away from it all. Thanks for opening your home to us!

This was first experience with VRBO, and we had a great time at your home...loved the outdoor shower..my only complaint was no beach access for the swimming area, but the kids didn't seem to care, so all was good. Very secluded... met the friendly neighbors who invited me into use their phone, no cell service for tmobile. We hope to come back.

The home is owner by an older AF retired couple that doesn't get to go to the lake much any more due to health issues. It has been in our family for many years. We still enjoy a ride on the boat and watching our grand children boat and play.
