We love our golfers! This group was especially great. Really glad to hear they enjoyed the “19th hole” and lodging at the mansion.

We were happy to see that Ed and his group seemed to enjoy every square inch of what the house and yard had to offer, even having a family member play guitar by the fire pit and another one tickling the ivories in the lower level. They summed their trip up as “fabulous” in follow-up communications. We hope they’ll make a visit to the mansion a tradition.

So disappointed you didn’t enjoy the decorations as most guests seem to. We’ve had all positive feedback from guests who appreciate the historical feel of the fully furnished house, not to mention access to china and crystal for fancy dining, toys for the kids, books to take to the beach, etc. The house is not for those who like stark surroundings, you definitely need to appreciate a hearty decor style to feel at home. Thankfully almost all folks seem to enjoy a mansion which feels like yesteryear yet is stocked with practical amenities. :)

The secret to year-round fun? Being with family! We're so happy this family enjoyed their stay. Sounds like no top winds brought in the warm waters during their visit, unfortunately. We've actually seen surfers out there in Oct-May in their wet suits--not for the faint of heart! But you're welcome to use our 4 kayaks to get out on the water. Glad to hear you found plenty to do. Hope you took the fleet of bikes for a few spins around town. Thanks for the follow-up; you were great to work with!

OMG, I LOVE this family! You have GOT to click on this link or head to YouTube to get the full flavor of their vacation. Their creativity and diversity not only showed how much fun they had in Sheboygan but also highlighted a lot of the opportunities for maximizing a weekend at the house. They clearly enjoyed the beach, kayaking and soccer, a not to mention running around the light house. Looks like they took the bikes to town, visited the Michael Kohler Arts Center, headed to the riverfront and attended a festival (the porta potties are the dead give-away). I can only imagine what this group will find to do in the winter! I was so impressed by this video that it's inspired me to propose a video contest. The best video posted in a review between now and the end of the year will win a prize--maybe a free off-season stay. If you've already been our guests you can post clips after the fact. We’re so happy you enjoyed your stay. The weather wasn’t exactly cooperative but you seemed to make the best of it. At least it behaved better for the wedding. I hope the bride and groom got some wonderful photo to commemorate the special occasion, and that you all left with wonderful memories. Hope you return. I hear annual family reunions are good for one’s health. :)

This was the kind of group everyone wants — friendly, tidy and appreciative. It’s always helpful to hear how the three generations utilize the house. We aim to provide something for everyone, and are tickled pink that this family reunion group took advantage of the various things we had to offer. The matriarch of the gang just before them told me that her adult daughter said, “ Is it weird of me to hope for a couple of rainy days so I can play with all the things inside? “. Repeat guests are the best! These guys are very easy to work with. I’m glad they like the golf Mecca in the Sheboygan area. We hope they come back again and again.
