Exploring, Bicycling, Kayaking, Horseback Riding. Close to clear springs or 4 wheeling and trail biking in Ocala National Forest and only 30 minutes from St Augustine.

Peaceful Quiet evenings with natural sounds of chirping Birds, Owls, Turkey's, bullfrogs, Bass hiting the surface and occasional gruttings of Gators.

The Area – Dunn’s Creek is a 6-mile long deep creek, linking the St. Johns River to Crescent Lake. Shoreline is largely uninhabited except for the first two miles on the eastern shore. Dunn’s Creek State Park is located on the western shore for nearly its entire length. At Pine Landing, the State Park offers picnic tables, artesian well water and restrooms. Manatees regularly travel the waterway and the American Alligator grows large in these waters. Wetlands, Cypress trees, hardwoods and lily pads line the entire trail. Fishery - St Johns is known as the Bass Fishing Capital of the World. Both Striped and Largemouth varieties can be found here in abundance large sizes. Also Bluegill, Crappie and Catfish, Redfish, Flounder, something slightly different areas unique Blue Crab & shrimp fishery!

Wonderful!

Absolutley loved the house! Comfortable, everything we needed. Location is wonderful on the water. Great dock and outside area. Quiet neighborhood and nice neighbors. Host was easy to work with and made sure things went well. Would stay at the Retreat again!

Great fishing

This is a difficult review to write. We enjoyed the fishing and wildlife. What made our stay uncomfortable was backyard construction on sea wall and unfinished boat lifts. The owner had no control over delays I would recommend renting after all construction is finished.

perfect for extra house

They had everything you could possibly need for a stay. Stocked supplies for cooking, bedding and more. Loved the birds and wild life we would see every morning. A Dollar General was 2 miles away for grocery emergency needs. A Greenway that led to additional fishing and running, or biking was within running or riding range. Very quiet neighborhood. Internet was easy to use and fast. Will definitely come back, I don't want to write a good review because I want this all to myself, but that was awesome.

When we first looked at this location, we didn't go in the house but out to the dock. The location the views the wildlife and peacefulness sold us hope it will give you great memories.

What makes this property unique

Away from the city lights, surrounded by Wetland and parks. Daytime - (weekend) it a busy river adding the excitement of your day. Evening little to no boat traffic just the tropical sounds of the natural wildlife.
