We had the most relaxing stay at St. Johns River Retreat unit 1 for my husbands birthday fishing getaway. The home is an older mobile home however it 100% met our needs as a pet friendly, million dollar view, fishing vacation with the most relaxing atmosphere. Host George was friendly with prompt communication. And property manager Mr. Lacy is a total gem! He was so friendly and helpful during our stay. The area is rural and the house location provided the privacy and serenity we were looking for. My only complaint is that there needs to be a hammock or lounge type chair outside to take advantage of the complete relaxation We loved our time there and will definitely keep this as a favorite. Thanks so much
Perfect for a fishing week getaway. Exactly as described. Easy to get in contact with the owner. Great location and easy access. Plan on staying here again in the near future!
What a great last minute find! Peaceful and relaxing and plenty of space! Loved fishing off the dock! Beautiful sunsets from the big back porch! Everything we needed! Would definitely stay again! Visit mud springs right down the road it is well worth it!

We stayed here for spring break and we had a wonderful time. We caught lots of fish and crabs off the dock and took the boat to the spring. We a great overall experience staying here. Would definitely stay here again.
The property owners and the people who over see the property were a pleasure to deal with. We have been coming to Lake George for over 30 years. The location was perfect. We will be booking again here as often as we can get away!
This property is perfect for a quiet weekend on the river. After a long driveway from the main road you pull up to a retreat of paradise.
We also enjoyed the private dock that it comes with.

Have a wonderful day.

The unit is remote with a beautiful view of the water. Unfortunately, the unit is dated and needs updating and wasn’t as clean as we expected. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed our time. Fishing off the dock was amazing!

Thank you for your comments - we will endeavor improve
Loved the area and the location of the house! There is some mold in the bunk room and in the hallway bathroom that needs attention, update the showers (more water pressure as well) and replace the mattresses. Generally speaking it was clean, easy to find and well furnished. Also shout out to Mr. Lacy for taking the trash off for us and for bringing me the key on day one.

We joined family to stay on this property for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We spent endless hours just relaxing, watching the birds, enjoying the breeze off the water. Totally quiet and secluded. The property is huge and the view across the St. Johns River is toward the Ocala National Forest, so you're only looking at trees and moss, not condos and traffic.
We highly recommend if you want to really get away from the noise and hustle and bustle of everyday Florida.
Truly unique and delightful.
Loved the view. AC needs updates. Home was almost unbearable in the afternoon. Had to keep blinds closed entire time which was unfortunate as the view was the best thing about property.

I am so sorry AC has a hard time - we have replacement scheduled and they keep putting us off - if decide to come back after the update you will get 3 days free - just remind me - sorry again

Everything was really good, and we enjoyed our stay, but the smell of sulpher in the water was too much for us to take and to plan another trip to this location until that is fixed will not happen. Lacy was great and the place was good except for the smell. Showering and brushing our teeth was an awful experience.

There is nothing we can do about the sulphur well water - so sorry - as soon as the county can provide water to our area we will sign up right away. I try to warn about the well water. So sorry!
Loved the location of this property. Just what we wanted to regroup, secluded and rural. Hubby was amused that we traveled on a 1mi dirt road through the woods then bam, clearing upon reaching property greeted by 6 wild turkeys. :-) never saw them again after first day. Lol
House is basic manufactured home. Had what we needed, however for the location & view the back really windows should have been cleaded, they were covered in little bugs stuck to windows. If there was a squeegee I would've cleaned them myself for better setting. The MB BR bed was soft, very soft and bouncy. I think the kitchen cookware could be upgraded. We initially had trouble with internet tv, but hubby worked it out and subsequently aided the owner of same when we left. :-) The prop mngr, Lacy, was very kind, gave us lots of wood for the solo pit on deck. The pit was welcomed because our trip was cold. This solo must be new because its not in photos. Our main purpose was to boat and fish, we did not catch any fish but we boated alot! Went to Salt Springs, saw manatees up close. Went up and down the St Johns and also up the Ocklawaha for which we saw lots of gators. There is a resident gator at property that every morning we saw him swim back and forth by seawall. all and all we'd come back.
The place is nice and clean. The temperature of the water during showers wasn’t easily regulated. Especially if someone used water elsewhere. Seemed like the ac struggled during the hottest part of the day. But it quickly cooled off as temperatures lowered outside. Would come back and use the property again.
