The property was beautiful and very peaceful, the accommodations were super, extremely clean, and the hosts were great. We had one question and messaged the host and had a call within minutes with an answer. We had a short trip for a family wedding, however wished we could stay much longer. Awesome place!!
Just a beautiful place for an extended stay! The house was beautiful, clean and so peaceful. Great place for nature lovers and so convenient to Raleigh for NC State football games! The host family was so welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend this place and will book again!

Thank you Tom! We truly enjoyed having you and Kim stay with us, and getting to know you both. Hope to see you again in the future, you are welcome back anytime !
We really enjoyed our stay. Great views of natural areas from the main living area. The kitchen was very complete with a large dining area. The bedrooms were comfortable. We entertained our family comfortably one evening for dinner Would love to return in the future. The hosts were very accommodating.
We had a great weekend stay at the "treehouse" hosted by Jason and Tara. The propery blew us away with its beauty and rustic vibe, as the "treehouse" we stayed at was an old barn converted for a comfy, unique stay! We enjoyed walking our dog around the property and checking out the chickens. Jason and Tara seemed very nice and welcomed us on our first day of the stay. Overall communication was good but we did ask for firewood which never got dropped off during our stay and was alittle bit of a let down as the listing stated they would provide some as needed. With that being said, there was plenty of wood to scavenge in the woods surrounding the firepit. The morning of leaving the power went out and we werent able to use the shower and get freshend up for the long drive home, but we understand that things happen and they offered assistance with a back up generator they used on their property. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay and would recommend to anyone thinking about doing the same. The vibe was good, the scenery was relaxing and the hosts seemed like good people. Thanks for having us!

Hi Brady - Thanks for staying with us and for your kind words. The barn was actually built as the apartment (not converted), it was the original owners main house while they built the larger residence,.which is why it's so well constructed and so comfortable.
We were about to bring over the firewood and heard you scavenging in the woods as we had also mentioned you were welcome to do (and that's how we get our kindling and small firewood) so we did not bring it . We figured you would ask againif you needed any, but hopefully you still had a great time and were able to make a fire.
As far as the power, yes, we definitely could have fired up the generator and offered to do that, but you said you were on the way out. We keep an extra generator for the barn, specifically to make sure guests are always comfortable. Unfortunately we did lose power for 3 hours due to utilities work in the area. It doesn't happen often but we are always prepared when it does.
Thanks for being great guests and maybe we will see you next time !
The property is a quiet and stunning natural beauty, and the home is well-appointed and comfortable. Tara and Jason are generous and welcoming hosts who also know how to cook a great meal! We intended to unplug and we did.
Great hosts property is just beautiful with the deer grazing in the yard in the morning chickens and rooster fill out the country lifestyle of living. Very nice place to stay. Away from the fast and busy style of city life.
We really enjoyed our little Christmas getaway with the family. Everything was perfect. Playing Cornhole and walking around the property down to the creek. Seeing the deer and watching the chickens... The place was really nice and clean. Would recommend this place to everyone who likes the quiet peaceful country life...
Our stay was lovely. It was easy to find and it was easy to get to Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham. The owners were responsive and kind. The beds were comfortable and the home is cozy and bright. It was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Thanks Angela! It was a pleasure hosting you and we look forward to having you back.
My daughter and I went to North Carolina to tour UNC Chapel Hill. We wanted a cool and unique place to stay and this place did not disappoint. It was easy to get to. All Maps had directions to it. The outside property was so green with tons of trees. Very quiet and secluded. The “barn” was just beautiful inside and out. My daughter was so excited to stay here and it did not disappoint. Tara and Jason have thought of almost every need you might have and provide it. But they are also very good with communication and are willing to help you with anything you might need. If our daughter decides to attend UNC, I know where we will be staying for our visits.

Thank you so much for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in the Treehouse, and hope to be able to welcome you back again!
We attended parents weekend at UNC and this was the perfect place to unwind and relax after the activities of the days. It was peaceful, comfortable and had everything we needed. This was a great alternative to staying in a hotel room despite being a little farther away from campus. Owner was very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend staying here.

About the host
Hosted by Tara Lindstrom
We gave up the daily grind of the Bay Area, CA and relocated our family to North Carolina. We love to host and are thrilled to have a guest home on our property where we look forward to welcoming many people. Much of the guest home is furnished with things we brought from our former winery/farmhouse we left behind in California, and we take pride in making a space that we would want to stay in. We are avid travelers and always trying to recreate our best experiences staying places for our guests.
Why they chose this property
Originally we planned to live in Cary or Apex, but we longed to have space and breathing room. Once we saw this property, we were smitten, and we actually bought it sight unseen. When we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice and it was even prettier than the photos and videos showed. We love the magical, mysterious entrance down a dirt road and through a tree covered driveway. The combination of open, green space, woods, gardens and babbling creek make it a place we never want to leave.
What makes this property unique
garden, walking trails, private road, creek, kids play area, private picnic area and deck, lawn games, hot tub, fire pits
