Hideaway- Centrally located near the heart of Amarillo

Hideaway, has two bedrooms with king beds, a fold out couch downstairs to sleep two, a fold out couch in the sunroom to sleep two, two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs with adjustable height shower heads, tank-less water heater, fully appointed kitchen with all new appliances and granite counter tops, a gas fireplace in the living room, four smart TVs, air-conditioning and radiant floor heat in all rooms. This unit has a one vehicle parking space in the garage which also has floor heat and a 12 person registered EF-5 in ground storm shelter for use in dangerous weather. There are security cameras on the exterior of the unit and in the garage as well as a ring doorbell with a camera. There are no security cameras in any indoor spaces.

The Hideaway has it's own private, fully furnished courtyard which has an eight foot privacy fence.

We are pleased to see that Megan was “comfortable” and recognized that she had a “nice place to stay!” We wish that this had been reflected in her behavior during her stay. Megan booked her family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children into our two bedroom rental then showed up with 4 adults and 2 children. We asked about the extra guests and she stated that she did indeed bring her daughter and son in law in addition to the original 4, so we adjusted her reservation accordingly and told her we would come and leave the necessary bedding for the fold out beds which, we did. The next day she texted to say she added another guest for a total of 7 which, is over the legal allowed number of guests for this unit. She was informed that the 7th guest would not be able to stay for the next night but the guest continued to stay anyway. Upon check out we found the oven was left with spilled and burned food in it, chicken bones and sauce were thrown under the sink apparently intended to end up inside the garbage can…which they did not! They did avail themselves of the extra bedding provided for the pull out beds for the “two” extra guests but they had also used the labeled bedding left for the cleaning staff! A set of king sheets on one of the upstairs guest beds was ruined with what appears to be chewing gum! Luckily, this is not typical behavior we have experienced from our guests and we have been hosting for several years! We will not be hosting Megan again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway! The house was simple but had everything we needed and was well taken care of. The a/c worked well, beds were comfy and had plenty of space for our group of 5. My littles enjoyed having a space of their own too! Grateful my GMC Yukon fit in the garage! I will definitely stay again

It felt like being on a vacation escape in a beautiful house in the city. The water feature on the patio was so relaxing. They thought of everything one might need down to the details in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms.

This place was everything they promised

We were delighted with this property. Spacious, lovely decor, attention to detail, I could go on and on. The welcome basket, very well stocked kitchen for meal prep, coffee and tea, the comfortable furniture, two full baths, a garage, washer and dryer, convenience to highway.
