Great location and beautiful space. Traveled for spring break with 3 other families (lots of kids) and we had plenty of space to hang out, eat, and sleep. Megan is a very responsive and gracious host. Heads up for future guest is to be aware of the noise rules. We got a warning within 2 hours of checking in so just be aware. After that we still hung out outside to grill and use the hot tub but just had to be more mindful of the noise. Again, this didn't ruin our stay I just want others to be mindful.

Ivan thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback from your stay. Regarding excessive noise this cabin is in a community with neighbors so we ask guests to keep respectable noise levels which you can read about in our listing as well. We want all guests, and neighbors, to be treated with the upmost respect and to have memorable 5 star stays.
Best,
Megan

Disliked: Location
The host was very nice and great with booking the home. The house itself was reasonably clean, except for downstairs sheets covered with little black hairs. We had to strip and wash sheets and bedding. My 75 year old father had to go to the doctor twice with horrible bed bug bites. We could not enjoy the outside because the smell of sewage was horrendous. I don’t know if the septic needed pumping, but one downstairs bathroom would barely flush and kept bubbling. I contacted the host with the information, and she was very nice and apologetic. I sent pics of my dad’s bites and the sores it created, but never received a response. This home was not worth the several thousands of dollars we spent to stay for 4 days. I’m just so thankful the babies and small kids we had didn’t suffer from bed bugs. Luckily we brought our own baby beds for the smallest babies.

Laura I'm sorry to hear you were unsatisfied. I wish you would had reached out during your stay, as we could have quickly resolved your concerns. We take cleanliness seriously and have addressed this with our cleaning team immediately to ensure it doesn't happen again. In addition we would like to clarify that our property is completely bed bug free and there are no septic issues as all plumbing is working properly and there are no smells to note.
5 star stay! Host was amazing and cabin was very spacious and clean! THERE IS A BESR THAT FREQUENTS THE AREA! PLEASE LOCK CAR DOORS AND REMOVE FOOD FROM THEM. A bear got in the back of truck and tore through some luggage to get some snacks. I encourage guests to take proper precautions with bears. Cabin is great and is in great location. 25 minutes to Cades Cove, and 25 minutes to Pigeon Forge.

Hi Trett, as the cabin is in the Smoky Mountains we recommend all guests follow bearwise safety and not leave any food belongings in their vehicles. This would be for the entire Smoky Mountain region.
Everything about our stay was great! We had such an amazing time in the cabin. Megan (the host) provided very detailed check in/out and stay directions. We needed to reach out to her a few times during the stay and she was very quick, professional and so polite when responding. The cabin was perfect for our group!
We were a family of 14, enjoyed the stay thoroughly. Loved the house!! The host was super good and very responsive. Hot tub was very relaxing after exploring the mountains during the day.
We had an amazing time with family. The cabin was beautiful and had plenty of space. The manager was awesome and very responsive. I highly recommend this cabin for a great family vacation! Definitely a 5 star stay!

Thank you Richard! I'm glad you had a great new years at The Duke!
This was the perfect spot for our family, 10 Adults 5 grands, the home was large enough that we had areas to spend time together, play games, and make memories and still be able to have our personal quiet space, the home had a great layout. The location was great for outdoor hiking, several trails that were close and we all enjoyed. The kitchen had great counter space and we ate all our meals in. Definitely would suggest this location for a family gathering.
We loved our stay. Our host Megan was very helpful. She answered all of our question promptly. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. We had plenty of room for our big family. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and using the hot tub.We got to see a Mama bear and her two cubs. She was just heading into the forest. The only thing we would recommend is a nice propane grill. We loved making big meals in the kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook with. Definitely a great stay!!
We had a great time good location maybe for a family as many as us could have used a few more towels but we washed and made it work
Also we left half of a bag of charcoal for next renters in closet there was pancake mix and syrup there but we didn’t leave that it was there

About the host
Hosted by Megan
Hi I'm Megan. My husband and I spend our days with our 2 littles and 4 animals out in the country. I find so much joy in knowing our guests are having a great time at our cabins and are making memories to last a lifetime.
Why they chose this property
We love a calm and serene atmosphere and felt this property was a place we could truly escape while still being close to the hustle and bustle.
What makes this property unique
All of the private spaces, the HUGE deck, the attention to detail with copper pulls in the kitchen, and the walls of windows were only a few reasons we fell in love with this cabin.
