Many Pros and Cons
The best thing about this apartment is the location. It is located a few blocks from the Seine in the 6tharrondissement. It is just a few blocks from many excellent restaurants, shopping, etc. The bathroom is very functional with adequate water pressure and hot water. The kitchen is tiny but functional. It lacks a coffee maker which is a big negative for us. The apartment itself is nice except that there's no place to sit other than the bed or two wooden stools. Unfortunately there are significant negatives. The mattress is very thin and very uncomfortable. It needs replacingThe property owner is also not very responsive to problems with the apartment. The amenities according to the listing include a washer and a dryer. Unfortunately the washer was broken and there was no dryer. Normally that might not be a problem but we were on a long trip and rented this place since we knew we would need a washer and dryer. We were told that they would try to do something about it but they never did. We were there for 9 days. I asked if they would provide us with additional towels since we only received 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels. The owner refused. Another negative is that this apartment is a basement apartment. (I was not aware of this)So there is a VERY narrow circular staircase you must descend and ascend. Very difficult with a big suitcase. We had to go to a grocery store 3 blocks away to pick up the key. Very inconvenient. Not a place I would stay again.
