I prefer small, simple apartments with great locations and thought this would meet those requirements. It did not. To be clear, at least some of this is my own fault -- I didn't read the reviews. Who this is good for: young couple with excellent back doing Paris on a shoestring budget. Everyone else, look elsewhere. The pros: It's literally a five minute walk to the Louvre, the Seine, and everything else. The room was clean and technically met all the requirements in the ad. The cons: There isn't a queen sized bed and a futon, there's an uncomfortable queen sized sleeper couch and a chair that folds out into a wildly uncomfortable facsimile of a bed. Both folded out takes up the whole damned room (which is literally just a room). That I should have gotten from reading the ad more closely. The rest though.... Much could be improved with 100 Euro at Ikea and ten minutes of effort. There were all of two rolls of toilet paper and one dish cloth, no salt or sugar in the kitchen, and the electric kettle was the cheapest possible sort. The "information card" was clearly generic for a large number of apartments and the information didn't apply to that specific apartment half the time. Half the lightbulbs were burned out, and there was still masking tape on the window trim (and it wasn't a fresh paint job). There's one door and one window and ventilation is terrible -- after a week, mold was growing in the shower from lack of air flow.

Great location, not so great experience
I have to say the location was amazing. Tiny apartment which was ok, I should have read the square footing but that's on me. Booked ahead, paid fees ahead of time, terrible responses from host, asked 3 times for deposit which I had paid. Said check-in information would be provided 3 days beforehand, I got it the morning of our arrival after emailing daily. The apartment itself was ok but the host cut corners on little things that really make differences. For instance, only one light bulb in a light fixture that holds 3? only one coffee for a 3 day stay with multiple people? Greeter was not very friendly, no checkout instructions, very poor service. We took pictures of apartment before we left, no complaints from host on condition, said deposit would be refunded within 8 to 14 days and it's been 15 days I have not yet received it after multiple emails with host. Will not book again with this host, terrible experience.

Avoid at all costs!
If we could give this property 0 stars, we would. Horrible is the only way to describe it. The two main things that made this apartment unlivable were (1) the unbearable heat with inadequate means to circulate/cool air; and (2) uncomfortable furnishings. We visited for 8 days in the summer – not during the heat wave. I had been told in advance that the temperature in the apartment is “adequate” and there would be a fan. I was also told there were no ice trays to make ice. We brought ice trays with us. The refrigerator/freezer is so bad that we didn’t have ice until the 5th day. There was no fan for the first 48 hours – the apartment was like a sauna. Within a few minutes of being inside, we were all dripping in sweat. There are 2 windows that open a few inches each (the curtain rods block the windows from opening more and also block you from being able to open both windows in the double window set). One window is in the closet and the other is in the main room. The only way to get any semblance of a cross breeze is to open the front door and open the window in the hallway which looks out on the courtyard that you see in the picture for this apartment (note: this apartment looks out on a courtyard that is not nearly as nice/clean). To not die of heat, we had to sleep with windows open. We were all covered in mosquito bites. The company clearly furnished the apartment with the lowest cost options available at Ikea. Indeed, the 4 flat pillows you are provided cost 4.99Euro at Ikea. I know because we went to Ikea (a block and a half from the apartment) to buy pillows. The fold-out couch is extremely uncomfortable. I’ve slept on fold out couches before but this one is really terrible regarding comfort. Even my 14-year old athlete daughter, by the 4th morning got up saying her back really hurt. By the way, the picture in the ad is misleading because when the bed is made up, there is no chair in the picture (that confused me). They had to put the chair in the hallway in order to take that picture and mislead you to think that the room had some space. The fold-out chair on which one person sleeps is equally uncomfortable --- it’s hard and like sleeping on the floor. Other issues– no instructions on how to use the cooktop, oven/microwave or washing machine. (there are instructions on for the tv and how to unfold the chair). Induction cooktop but no pots/pans for induction. No place to dispose of trash. No working phone.

Not as depicted
Its a small room with an uncomfortable pull out sofa bed, with no shears on the only window that looks down on the sofa bed. Only one key, was available, no papertowels, no condiments, and the hassle we received on check out was totally unacceptable. The reservation clearly stated a 11:00 AM checkout, and yet from 9:50AM on, a cleaner and numerous texts, phone messages and emails hassled us to leave by 10:00. saying “the ad” indicated a 10:00 am checkout. Bring copies of your reservation paperwork, and dont be fooled by the photographs.
