Enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing right out the front door. Host a dinner party in the large kitchen, or cook on the BBQ under the covered deck while your dogs play in the fenced yard. Finish your day cozied up next to the wood stove while the kids enjoy a movie in the bunk room.

A perfect spot that is secluded yet close to town. We saw turkeys and deer every morning. Nice and spacious for 3 couples to relax on a wedding weekend.

Very pretty cabin in the woods. Excellent location for the nearby forest and trails. We stayed at the property after finishing 14 day roll on the Hagan fire for 2 days, before returning to the fire. The cabin was excellent for recharging our batteries and getting back to work. The place is well designed and very clean. Luckily the price was lower than normal, most likely due to the smoke in the region, otherwise we wouldn't of been able to swing the cost. We would stay there again.

What an amazing spot in the world! We absolutely loved our stay! The location couldn’t be better as access to MERA is literally across the road. We had a wonderful time walking our dogs and enjoying the area. Great dog friendly home! The property is quiet and we were able to relax and unwind. This is one of the best stocked/supplied VRBO’s that we have stayed at and we stay at a lot of them. Cheers!

We met in college and now are neighbors in La Grande. Both of us are born and raised in Oregon and have found our way back to NE Oregon after living around the West.

The Owl's Nest is located at MERA trailhead with a great view of town, minimal neighbors and lots of privacy. You are close enough for a visit to the brewery after a bike/ski or a quick trip to Liberty Cafe for an amazing breakfast sandwich.
