Great property, better service.
We had a great time at Dragonwood. The property is amazingly beautiful. Great activities for the kiddos with a relaxing environment for the adults. By far one of the greatest assets to this property was the staff. Carrie and her crew were accomodating to every request and need we had with utmost speed. You can't beat the taste of fresh Maine blueberries right off the bush. We were so lucky to be there right at the beginning of picking season.

Amazing Getaway Weekend
We had 22 friends meet at Dragonwood for a long weekend get away. The experience was amazing from the very start when Carrie met us at the front door to give us a tour. The pictures don’t do the property justice- the ground we’re beautiful, well maintained, and bigger than expected. There was plenty of room for all of us to gather together in the bunk room for game nights, but also spread out into the main house, fire pit, or dock if wanted. The house was fully stocked with every kitchen need, plenty of towels and bedding, and some snacks the owners provided as well. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. My only warning would be it’s a steep walk down to the lake. It wouldn’t be ideal for anyone who can’t handle a lot of stairs. However this didn’t hold our group back.

Beautiful but busy property
Dragonwood is a beautiful place full of high-quality amenities in all areas including the kitchens, baths, patio, and boathouse. The houses and grounds were perfectly clean and well kept. Our group of ten adults was so pleased with Manhanock Pond, it is very clean and excellent for swimming and boating. The only negative of this property was a serious issue with the lack of privacy and unpleasant communication with property owner and manager on site. The Dragonwood team members initially accommodated our request for privacy but by the end of the week this broke down and we were interrupted by a helicopter landing on the property, workers waking sleeping guests to tend the grounds, frequent entry into the office which is attached to the bunk house, and ATVs driving through the property. When we continued to ask for more privacy, the request was met with hostility. These experiences impacted our ability to have a peaceful and private experience. Dragonwood is a beautiful spot for an event but not ideal for solitude.

Summertime
The main house as well as the bunkhouse were perfect for my family of 9 and our 3 dogs. The photos don’t do the grounds justice. There was ample space for the dogs and kids to run and it was a challenge to get them out of the pond with how much fun they were having. The main house fire pit was perfect at the end of every day for relaxing while we cooked dinner on the grill. One thing to note as it may cause some difficulties for certain people- there are a lot of stairs and a rather steep walk to get to the water from the main house, though there are alternate cleared paths you can take through the woods to avoid the stairs. We enjoyed our week very much and highly recommend!
