About this property

Carrabelle Cottage 2br/1ba

It's Snapper Season! Snapper Season: June 1st - July 31st and September 1st - November 30th (weekends only)

2025 Winter Monthly Rate- $2,500 a month, plus taxes and fees.

Carrabelle Cottage is a cozy "cracker style" 2 bedroom/1 bath house nestled among towering pines and ancient oaks offering one king bedded room and one queen bedded room. Located less than 5 minutes from Carrabelle Public Beach and a short drive to Eastpoint, Apalachicola and St. George Island. There are numerous cafes and restaurants in the area offering the fresh seafood that Carrabelle is famous for.

Cottage has been completely remodeled and updated as shown by the pictures. Fully equipped kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, glassware and utensils, there are even dog water/food dishes provided. Owners even provide videos, books and games. There are 3 decks (each bedroom has it's own private deck) and a combination deck/screen room at the main entrance. Almost one acre fenced in on a shady lot, perfect for your pets, as you can see by our reviews.

A spacious pole barn (new roof 2021) would be perfect to park your cars and boats, is located at one side of the property.

Directly across from the house is a view of the Bay so you can enjoy those breezes, however you do have to take a short drive to the Public Beach for beach access. The Public Beach is dog friendly which is true for most in the area but dogs must be on leashes. Many of the restaurants and pubs in Carrabelle allow pets.

Cottage is private, secluded and abuts directly to Tate's Hell State Forest which is a nature lover's and hiker's treasure. Lighthouse Museum is right down the street and there are other Museums within 5 miles. Trail head is directly to the left of the driveway.

If you want to enjoy a taste of Old Florida but with modern, updated accommodations, this is the place for you. You won't be disappointed.

The house was just perfect! It was very spacious and clean. It had all the amenities my husband and I needed. I do plan to return and stay at the same place again!

photo is deceptive
The property is bordered on the right with an abandoned mobile home. On the left there is an abandoned house. that photo is not of the front door. The yard is nice but there is a tick problem in the yard and the forest behind. The trailhead is not at the mailbox as described, you have to walk (not recommended) on a dangerous road or drive about 30 yards to the trail head. The trail, EH not so great. The dishwasher was broken we didn't know this until we were leaving. there was pink mold in the dishwasher and it is rusted out. The thing that spins and does the water spray was broken off. The a/c units are those weird ones in each room so nothing central. shower big but shower head small. Lots of internal noise (groaning ) from the fridge and I don't know what else. It i s quiet at night. the beds were comfortable but the one bedroom is not a bedroom it's a bed in an open space so there is no privacy. the porch areas are small. If you are tall you will have a problem the ceilings are only 6 feet in most of the rooms. nice to have enough stemwear and the fridge was good. Found a german roach in kitchen upon check in. I have photos of all this.
