Cozy home in Burg-Reuland with sauna

This detached holiday home is located on the Belgian-Luxembourg border, in the beautiful Our river valley, between Burg-Reuland and Ouren. You live just 100 metres from the German border and 3 km from the border with Luxembourg, just inside Belgium. German is spoken in this border triangle, as well as in all the eastern cantons of Belgium, which form the High Fens to the north. Here you can not only enjoy the peace, fresh air and beautiful nature, but also the good food of this region. In the varied surroundings, you can go for endless walks and enjoy magnificent views and cosy valleys. By car, the towns of Clervaux, Vianden, Diekirch, Monschau and Luxembourg are great destinations for a day trip. Trier is also definitely worth a visit if you are interested in historic market squares or want to see the Porta Nigra, an almost completely preserved Roman city gate. Detailed tourist information, brochures and hiking trails are available in your accommodation. The house is built on a slope, so you can reach the actual living area via a staircase. On this floor is the living room with open-plan kitchen and access to the balcony and garden. In the living room, an open staircase leads to the first floor with the bedrooms, the bathroom and the infrared sauna. Please note that the bunk beds in one of the bedrooms are not suitable for adults as they are only 1.90 metres long and 0.80 metres wide. The holiday home is spacious, bright and wonderfully comfortably furnished, including a leather sofa and leather chairs in the dining area, a large flat-screen TV and WiFi. On the south side of the house you have a lovely balcony where you can enjoy the sun until late in the evening. There is also a sheltered terrace to the rear. In front of the holiday home is a beautiful valley with colours that change with the seasons, which you can enjoy to the full from the living room and balcony. The holiday home is the ideal place for anyone who loves nature and a relaxed lifestyle.

Mooi compleet huis op rustige locatie.

Een aantal dagen genoten van het huis en de regio. In de woning tref je een zeer complete inventaris aan. Op het sleuteladres werden we vriendelijk ontvangen en verliep de incheck vlot. De woning zelf is netjes, de meubels zijn vervangen dus anders dan op de foto’s. De keuken en badkamer tref je niet aan op de foto’s maar zijn gewoon netjes en compleet. Al met al een betaalbare leuke accomodaties op een veelal rustige locatie.

A Fantastic Property in a stunning location.

The house its self was amazing, very comfortable and it had everything you needed for the stay. The property would not be suitable for anyone that finds stairs a challenge and also i wouldn't say its suitable for very young children as the stairs are fairly open. The location of the property is in a very quiet village of a few houses with no shops close by, the closest amenities are about 5 miles away across the border into Luxembourg in Weiswampach 15 mins drive or so. The house is right next to a dairy farm so be prepared to be woken by the cow's early every morning, we loved this but it might not be for everyone. I would recommend taking fly paper with you as the property had many (from the location) and also mosquito's were an issue (nothing to do with he house!!) There is internet at the house but it is fairly slow, it worked well for checking emails and however it struggled when trying to stream anything, also there is intermittent mobile service mainly due tot he location being in a valley. The were only two things that i did not enjoy and dont think it could be changed was the pressure in the shower, it was very low and being a hairy chap it took an age to shower. The other was that everything was in German so we struggled a bit to work everything out like the hot water timer, house rules and what to do with he rubbish. We got through it but it would have been helpful to get ti in English! apart from that this we had an amazing time here and would return again.
