Check in was a breeze, and we were able to check in early! Great home for a weekend trip. Host was extremely responsive, and the home was super clean. Would stay again!
Excellent place to stay. Plenty of other things to do nearby and places to eat. Host made everything easy. Something to keep in mind this is an old house but that being said it is in good shape for the age and the owner seems to keep up with the property.
We loved this old Victorian home! It was very comfy. The area was quiet, even though it was next to a college. the check in process went smooth. The place was clean plenty of space in the kitchen and surprisingly pleasant water pressure in the shower! It was close to everything we wanted to do the downtown area as well as the lake. We would definitely stay again.!!
This old but nicely maintained property was clean and accurately described. It is located in close proximity to grocery, shopping and restaurants downtown and of course to the fantastic wineries and breweries surrounding Seneca Lake.
Clean and cozy with great access to geneva downtown area.
We were staying a couple of days to attend classes at the Cornell Agritech center. The location was perfect and we were able to walk to classes and all the great restaurants downtown.
We came to Geneva to attend an open house at HWS. The house was right across the street from the school and close to a variety of restaurants and vineyards. Communcation was great and check in/out was easy.
We rented this home for graduation weekend from HWS. The home was clean and the bed was cozy ( we only used one). The only drawbacks were that at the top of the stairs there is no banister for about 3 steps which was very difficult for me. Also there is NO banister going into the basement where the washer/dryer are located. Very close to college and town and 1/2 block from our daughters home she had lived in with her friends! Wishes: banisters, tv upstairs, BBQ grill. The front yard and porch need attention. The house fit our needs for the weekend.
I love old houses so this property was right for us. The house was very clean and comfortable. Close to downtown. Nice neighborhood. The only thing I wish it had was a bannister on the railing that went all the way up to the second floor. I have some trouble navigating stairs and of course the only bathroom is on the top floor. Thanks to the owner for communicating so well.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
The house is next to a busy street and near rentals occupied by college kids so it was a bit noisy. If you are scent sensitive, do not stay here. There were glade plug-ins to cover musty smell coming up from basement. One bathroom is upstairs without a rail at the top, so would be a hazard for someone with mobility or balance issues.
Stayed here for a wedding weekend in Geneva and had everything we needed! We really enjoyed having our coffee in the Adirondack chairs on the porch every morning.
All's well that ends GREAT! For whatever unknown reason, VRBO didn't process any communication regarding key code, check in info from hosts and then repeatedly said there was a problem on its end when I tried to communicate on the VRBO app. We gave up and returned home, more than an hour away, at 10:00 p.m.All of the incoming messages processed on my desktop and I was able to communicate with our hosts the next morning. They very graciously allowed us to return to the property and extended our stay to compensate for the missed night. Thank you SO much! The house itself was comfortable, well supplied and immaculate. Extra thanks go to the diligent housekeeper. The air conditioners worked very well, the bed we used was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We are disappointed that the house is booked for the Thanksgiving holiday, but that is to be expected in this superior, so reasonably priced property. The proximity to Route 20 was no issue. The white noise from the air conditioner in the front bedroom totally obscured any traffic or arriving student revelry. This house probably wouldn't work as well for a person with mobility or balance issues since the bathroom and bedrooms are on the second floor and the steps are age-typically steep. Thank you for the snacks and coffee supplies, the plentiful linens and the easily operated TV remote. We will be back!
My son was visiting HWS. This property is right next to campus. It is exactly as advertised. Communication was easy and the property was very clean ( my favorite ). There was some college kid noise on Saturday night but that added to the flavor of a college visit. Would stay again.
Great stay, the place is great and comfortable, Karen is a good communicative house. Nice location, walkable. You'll get some student noise on party nights, but nothing that's a big deal.
