About this property
Cabin on MilleLacs, RV hookups, stunning sunsets, dogs welcome.
300 feet of shoreline on Lake Mille Lacs, shallow sandy bottom swimming area. Room for multiple families, reunions, and dogs. Large yard, fire pit, fishing from the dock, when it is in, plus a boat lift available for rent in the summer once the dock is in (fits a V Hull boat approx. 20ft x 8ft.). Bring your snowmobile in the winter and drive directly onto the lake from the cabin. Nearby access to the lake for your boat or ice fishing house. We provide 2 stand up paddle boards, 2 kayaks and a large floating water pad at no extra charge when you rent our cabin.
Cabin sleeps 13 plus 1 couche in the living room. The 1st floor has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a king bed and fireplace, 1 with a queen bed and they share the bathroom with a whirlpool tub to relax in and a shower. Upstairs is a third bedroom with a queen bed and a separate large dormitory style room with 1 queen, 1 Full and 1 twin beds, a sitting area with a couch that opens into a queen sofa bed, and a full bathroom (shower, no tub). Note: Must walk through this open area to access bedroom #3. This makes it a good space for a “dormitory” experience for kids, a family or close friends.
There are 4 RV spaces for rent with an electric hookup for each one, plus a modern outhouse with a real toilet for those staying in their RV.
We always strive to get our dock in by the fishing opener date in May, but we cannot guarantee it due to unknown ice out dates, weather and the schedule of the guys who put our dock in. No refunds if the dock is not in during your stay. UPDATE 5/15/25: Dock and boat lift are in for the summer.
RV spot rentals are $55 per day. Boat lift is available to rent, as soon as our dock is put in, for $55 per day (fits a V Hull boat approx. 20ft x 8ft.). Please arrange with host in advance if you wish to rent these.
We use Ring cameras with motion lights on the outside of the cabin for security: 1 up on the front roof eaves, 1 next to the side door, 1 facing the back yard up on the back roof eaves, 1 on the shed, 1 overlooking our RV lot, 1 overlooking the boat lift . There is one Ring doorbell with a camera at the front door. All of them on the cabin but the doorbell can be turned off using the light switches in the house that have a plastic cover over them. Please turn them back on when leaving.

About the host
Hosted by Tama

Tama is from Pittsburgh, PA but has lived all over the US. She studied the French language and has been to France many times. She loves to travel and loves to meet new people! Steve is from Detroit and is a streak runner who has not missed a day of running in over 11 years! They have 3 grown children and have spent great times at the cabin and want to share it's beauty and serenity with others!
Why they chose this property
We have always wanted a cabin on a lake because our grandparents had that. We love boating and fishing and water sports and get great pleasure just sitting and looking out over the vastness of lake Mille Lacs!
What makes this property unique
Our property has 300 ft. of lakefront, most of which is very private and it is such a peaceful place to retreat to after a busy week in the twin cities. The cabin faces the west, which affords nightly views of the stunning sunset over the lake! Plus, there is a clear view of the northern sky, so the Northern Lights can be seen when they are on display! We also can accommodate up to 4 RVs, so more families can share the experience together than just the 13 people that the cabin can accommodate. Plus, the waterfront is shallow and sandy and is nice for all ages to wade in safely during a hot summer day!
