The Rainbow House is not your grandmas river retreat!! Tired of dusty old cabins with hand me down furnishings and linens? So were we!!! Here's what you can look forward to when you stay with us:
* FRESH, colorful furnishings, eye catching Florida art and fluffy towels!!
* Well stocked kitchen with Keurig, crockpot, blender and MATCHING dishware
* Outdoor space with gas firepit, TV & huge yard for kids to run free
* ALL essentials provided, from bikes & bug spray to sunscreen & river towels
ABOUT THE RAINBOW HOUSE.....
* Bright, 2 story home located on a safe, quiet cul-de-sac with ample parking for cars and boat trailer. Screened front porch for evening sunsets. Regulation basketball hoop at the curb
* Large primary bedroom/bathroom on GROUND floor with king sized bed and walk-in shower
* Bright & cheerful living/dining/kitchen area with volume ceilings. Smart TV, board games and bluetooth speaker available
* Upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with bathtub
* Bunk room with smart TV sleeps 4 (pullout couch downstairs for guests who don't prefer bunk beds)
* Other upstairs guest room has a queen sized bed (no TV)
ABOUT OUR LOCATION.....
* Quiet, residential neighborhood just 5 minutes by car to downtown Dunnellon.
* KP Hole and Rainbow Springs State Park are less than 10 minutes by car
* Walk to Swampy's Restaurant and the bike/hike trails at Blue Run Park. You
can also launch your own kayak/SUP's from Blue Run Park.
* Public boat/kayak launch on the Withlacoochee River just a 5 minute drive
away, across from The Blue Gator Tiki Bar
* Bring your bikes (or use ours) to explore the neighborhood or the paved
bike/hike trails at Blue Run.
*Crystal River, famous for it's natural springs and abundance of manatee in winter, is just 20-25 minutes away! Crystal River has an adorable pedestrian friendly downtown with shops, restaurants and festivals.
* Ocala's renowned World Equestrian Center (WEC) is also just 20-25 minutes away. The Rainbow House makes a wonderful home base for our horse loving guests. WEC is an incredible facility. We highly recommend a day trip here, even if you aren't a horse person! Ocala also has a historic downtown with restaurants, breweries and retail.
* If you are a kayaker or Florida springs enthusiast, don't miss Silver Springs, Homosassa and Weeki Wachee, all an easy drive away.
* Gator fans, you're about 50 minutes to The University of Florida in Gainesville.
* Theme park lovers, you can be in Orlando in about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Hey there! Our love story began about 40 years ago in the 2nd grade of our hometown elementary school. Fast forward to the Summer of 2020, where we reunited and haven't left each other's side since! Stephen is retired Army Special Forces and I've been selling real estate for over 20 years. We quickly realized that his ability to build things and my knack to make them both pretty and memorable was a winning combination! In addition to purchasing and creating The Rainbow House for both our family and other folks to enjoy, we formed Little Pink Houses Renovation and Design. My love of interior design and Stephen's fine remodeling and carpentry skills give new life to tired spaces in need of love and refurbishment. We specialize in kitchen and bath remodels, whole house or single room makeovers, and helping homeowners create spaces that reflect and compliment their personality and lifestyle. We hope our attention to detail and carefully curated interiors make you feel special, welcome and give you some much needed time away from the everyday hustle and bustle.
