The Menehune property is located in Kuau Point, a residential sea-side outcropping near Paia, on Maui's well-loved North Shore. It is a quick walk to the Kuau Channel for sunset relaxation or advanced windsurfer's launch to sail with the locals. Beginner and intermediate windsurfers can drive to Kanaha Beach, with sand, shade and lessons!! Traveling with little ones? Menehune House is a short walk over to the tide pool beach in front of Mama's Fish House. This charming “beach house” style home offers three bedrooms (1 king and 2 queen size beds) and two full baths along with a well equipped kitchen boasting a Viking gas stove and an island, great kitchen for sharing meals with your family! Open beam ceilings, original hardwood floors throughout, open flow between kitchen/dining/living. A/C unit in each bedroom and living room; ceiling fan throughout. The house feels reminiscent of Paia's plantation days!

The Menehune House features a small private yard and outdoor shower set in a tropical garden setting. Enjoy meals outdoors with the outdoor dining furniture and gas BBQ. The property also offers a one car garage perfect to store your boards and sails as well as a detached laundry room and parking for up to 2 cars. Beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler are provided for your relaxing beach days. And of course, we hope you'll leave your work at home, but just in case, there is a Wifi connection.

You are a short stroll away from the Kuau Store deli, trendy and convenient, healthy food to go, groceries and even Expresso!! Open 6.30am - 7pm daily. Walk through the neighborhood to the #1 rated beach front restaurant on Maui, Mama's Fish House.
In just a couple of minutes by car you are at Ho'okipa beach for more windsurfing & surfing action, or relaxing on the beautiful sandy beach to watch it all happen! Advanced kiting launch nearby. Just 15 minutes from Kahului Airport (OGG), and centrally located to many other Maui attractions, such as seeing the sunrise from Haleakala crater or driving the beautiful winding road to Hana.
The middle of Paia town is just a couple of minutes (by car) to the west of Menehune House. Paia is the home of Mana Foods for fresh organic one-stop shopping, and a splendid mix of restaurants, coffee-shops, trendy boutiques, bank, and post office. All the best North Shore beaches surround Paia, including Baldwin Beach, perfect for early morning walks or a swim.

House Rules:
1. Neighbors - Please be considerate of our neighbors. Noise carries easily to their homes, particularly in the evening. NO loud music, NO parties, NO amplified sound of any nature at any time. Many neighbors must be up early in the morning to go to work, and it's important that your use of this property does not impact them in any way.
2. Quiet Hours - Quiet time is from 9pm to 8am.
3. Use of the Property - Additional friends/family CANNOT be invited to the property and it cannot be used as a “meeting place”. The property can be used ONLY by the guests listed on the rental agreement. The County law allows us to accommodate a maximum of two guests x the number of bedrooms, so a total of 6 (including children) for Menehune House.
4. Parking - There is plenty of parking on the property. Vehicles CANNOT be parked on the street at any time. When vehicles are on the street, there is insufficient space for emergency vehicles, fire trucks, the trash truck or neighbors to get down the road.
5. Minimum of 1 guest must meet the minimum age requirement of 25.

At the time of booking, we'll forward the property rental agreement for review and acceptance. Additional information with respect to care and maintenance of the house will be included in the rental agreement. Payment is accepted by check, VISA or MC. For guests preferring to use VISA or MC, a 2% processing fee will be added.
