Enjoy a comfy retreat in this 100 year old home on Galveston Island. Cook in a cute and efficient kitchen and dine in surrounded by family and friends as you create unforgettable memories. Take in all that Galveston has to offer as you’ll be only minutes away from everything!
The space
The Cute and Cozy Home Away from Home is situated in a very quiet and family oriented Galveston neighborhood. The property is 2 blocks from the beach and from island favorite restaurants. The home has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a couch in the living area that opens into an additional bed. A full kitchen, living room, media room, laundry room, and dining room complete the house. The back outdoor space has a charcoal grill and seating for meals and nice evening sea breezes. Our house is setup for family vacations and friendly get togethers. No large parties or animals are allowed.
Guest access
Plenty of free public parking is available on the street, in front of the house and very close by, on a first come basis. Home entry is by numerical key pad on the front door. Homemade cookies, complimentary water and wine, TV with too many channels to count, fast WiFi, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and beach transport wagon await you during your stay.
Other things to note
The city of Galveston is home to some of the best attractions Texas has to offer, including Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Pleasure Pier Amusement Park, one of the largest and well preserved concentrations of historical Victorian Period architecture, a thriving performing and visual arts scene, excellent formal and casual dining, home port to half a dozen cruise ships all year around, and miles of sun-kissed beaches. All attractions mentioned are as close as a 3 minute walk or as far as a 10 minute drive from the house.

Ladies only getaway

Our ladies only family get a way was made fantastic with the help of Doug and Bo and their beautiful sea side cottage! It was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed the amenities as well as the decor! It’s fairly centrally located to all the exciting attractions and very close to the beach. We even walked to dinner twice!Thank you Doug and Bo!

Cute, clean home

We were in town for a cheer competition. The coaches, our spouses and children all stayed in the house. The loft was great for the kids… it is attic-type stairs so I wouldn’t use this space for under 5, but it was perfect for our kiddos ages 5-10 and would be great for older. The ac was able to keep up great. The house was very clean and the neighborhood felt very safe. We really enjoyed our stay here and will book here again.
