Beautiful condo and great location

The condo was modern and updated. Also right on the ocean. Super convenient to all the restaurants and market. We didn't have to drive anywhere.

Much needed retreat weekend.

Could not have asked for a better weekend, weathered worked out perfect and 2 blocks from anything we needed. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Calming decor and cleanliness of the place was icing on the cake!!!

Great location and property

We had a great time while staying at this property. The kitchen has everything you could need, the house is very clean, and the view of the ocean is amazing right outside your back door. Any questions were immediately addressed and the property is in a great location. You can walk to local restaurants or drive into downtown Charleston which isn’t to far. We would stay here again.

NEED MORE WARNING ABOUT LACK OF ELEVATORS

My wife and I are both over 80 years old with health issues. lack of an elevator is a MAJOR issue for us. We needed help to get our bags up to our room. If this was pointed out in the information on the unit we certainly did see it. Poor sound insulation between us the floor above. Seems the folks above us were getting their steps in for the day.

Terrible

The place smelled of rotten fish. Refrigerator was unusable due to the odor. I scrubbed and used air fresheners and purchased baking soda, but nothing helped. My son would not stay and my husband left after two days. The bathroom rugs were filthy- if using white and pink as colors the rungs need to be cleaned after each rental. I washed the rung. The walls are super thin. Screaming babies next door and partying over our head until 2 am. Not the birthday vacation I was hoping for. Very disappointed.

We have a local and available staff for any issues that might arise during a stay as well as fantastic housekeeping teams available for touch up cleanings as needed. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our team if anything is needed throughout your stay at Mermaid Cove. We wish that we had gotten a chance to improve this guest's experience, however we did not identify a smell during our property inspection prior to arrival and we did not hear from the guest until she was checking out on her departure day. We did provide a refund of the cleaning fee. Bath mats, along with the rest of the linens, are professionally laundered offsite after each reservation.

Wonderful view

This property has an amazing view off the large balcony! The unit is well furnished and very clean. Kitchen is nicely stocked with cooking utensils. My husband and I stayed and it was a nice beach getaway. I was disappointed with how much you could hear the neighbors from inside this unit. They were not being loud but I could hear them having a normal level conversation. I can’t imagine if it was a younger crowd how that would have been disturbing to our peaceful trip. The bed is not very comfortable or supportive. It needs a box spring. There was a misunderstanding as we stayed for 4 days and thought we got the beach chair rental included but I called and they said we didn’t qualify. Looking at the listing on my mobile device it cuts off the length requirement for this amenity on the webpage but can be seen on a computer. There is a nice company you can rent chairs and umbrella right outside the door! Overall, it was a nice place but I wouldn’t see myself coming back.
