About this property

Rock Creek Cabin Hideaway with Stunning Views!

The Rock Creek Cabin Hideaway is the perfect place to enjoy some unspoiled seclusion of the Montana wilderness! You'll find endless activities to enjoy no matter what time of the year you choose to stay. The property borders thousands of acres of Forest Service land for you to explore! Bring your fishing and hunting gear, snowmobile or ATV!

The first thing you'll notice when you arrive, besides the spectacular views, is how peaceful and quiet the property is!

The home has an open floor plan with a master bed & bath on the main floor. Enjoy your morning coffee on the wrap-around deck as you relax in the tranquility that Montana offers. You'll find a well stocked kitchen to prepare meals and lots of amenities to help you feel at home. Unwind in the evening with a glass of wine and a good book in the loft area or lounge around in the great room & catch up on your favorite tv shows.

On the 2nd floor you will find 2 bedrooms with 2 full size beds per room. If some of the people in your group are comfortable sleeping 2 per full bed, you'd be able to sleep 12 people here.

Between the bedrooms is a bathroom with a clawfoot tub. The tub has a shower setup installed if you prefer to shower over taking a bath.

In the lower level of the home you'll find the laundry area as well as another bedroom and bathroom. There is a mudroom, or what has been referred to as the "fly-tying room".

The property includes Rock Creek river frontage on both the main channel and a tributary.

If you need a little extra space, there is a small cabin across the road from the house that can be rented. We offer a 20% discount off of the smaller cabin if you want to book it when you book this listing. The smaller cabin may already be booked during the dates you are considering so please message me for more details and a link to the cabin.

This location would be perfect for a wedding or an event. If you'd like to hold an event at the house, message me for more info on pricing and other details.

There is a camera on the exterior of the house that faces the driveway. It is on 24/7 & records sound. It is not to intrude on guest privacy. It is used to keep an eye on the property when it is vacant.

Hope to return!
Great cabin in a great location just few hundred yards from Rock Creek. Fantastic well-stocked kitchen and grilling setup. Big deck with sweeping views. Comfortable and clean. Only complaint is no shower in the master bath. Also, a very steep spiral staircase is the only access to upper bedrooms. This was okay for us, but could be challenging for some.

Peaceful stay with good fishing access
The cabin suited our family of five adults nicely. Cooking facilities were very good, and the location provided a peaceful environment with good privacy. The wrap-around deck gave us plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. The spiral stairway created a concern for our blind dog and had to be blocked to prevent any accident. Beds were fine, and fans were made available to keep the air moving on hot nights. Upstairs shower was a bit tricky without hand rails, but bottom floor shower was very nice. Master bedroom on main floor had no shower. We enjoyed the cabin and would return.

Celebrating Family
We greatly enjoyed our Montana Rock Creek Cabin Hideaway experience! It was a nice place to gather with our adult children and their "significant others", and the dogs. The cabin was true to the photos and is very remote and peaceful. Thank you Becky for including maps of the property and great directions! While there was a small grocery store in Philipsburg, the next closest major grocery store was in Anaconda, so we planned our meals ahead of time and brought food with us. The kitchen has practically every appliance and gadget you could need, and everything is labeled so you can find it and put it back in the right place when done. It was also nice that the owners left a note saying it was okay to use some things if you needed to as they knew the store was a bit of a drive (I had forgotten vinegar so I appreciate them having some). Our son's fiance had to work remotely a couple of the days we were there, and the wifi connection worked great for her. The description of the house does recommend no small children due to the spiral staircase which we found to be true just navigating it as adults. We did put some chairs around it on the main floor so our 11 year old dog who is going blind would not fall through the openings. The upstairs did get very warm in the later part of the day, despite using the fans and closing blinds and windows during hot parts of the day (but then we were there the last week of July which had warm temps). We didn't take advantage of the firepit due to the warm weather and it being in grass, but we did use the bbq. The basket of remotes seemed a bit daunting since we weren't sure what went to which tv, but we spent most of our time fishing, going on adventures to Gem Mountain Sapphire mines, exploring the town of Philipsburg and checking out Georgetown Lake (which the kids paddle boarded on), and our last day there some of us climbed the hill behind the cabin. It was good to unplug! Mostly we spent time on the deck eating, visiting, and just relaxing which is what a vacation is for. We are truly thankful to the owners for sharing such a beautiful getaway with us! I am always happy to do what I can to leave the place as we found it and I hope we left the cabin in satisfactory condition. I would suggest posting the house rules and any "exit protocol" in the cabin somewhere. But communication with Becky seemed pretty prompt when I had questions. Overall, a memorable experience and great family time together!
