House is NOT CLEAN! Waterfront beach location is nice
We were looking forward to a weekend away with a couple close friends and family on the water after not being together due to Covid. When we first walked in we noticed a huge puddle of water on the kitchen floor- I immediately messaged the home owner and she told us “yeah. the fridge leaks some time”, ummm, how about it leaks ALL THE TIME! We had to leave a huge towel at the base of the fridge to slop up the copious amounts of water that was spilling out the entire weekend. The house has a 70’s motif - think Brady Bunch without the clean, this isn’t depicted well in the online photos. We proceeded to look around and noticed that the place was DIRTY! Chips and candy on the carpet, wrappers in the corners, dead flies and bees on every window sill, dried up ramen noodles all over the dining room rug, dirty windows and the outdoor tables were filthy and sticky. The view is beautiful and being waterfront is lovely but if you do decide to stay here, lower your expectations for cleanliness. Definitely not worth the money we paid to stay. The owner did refund us a small amount for us having to clean up the place (after Annie had to “review her cleaning person on the cameras”). Heed my warning- spend your money elsewhere.

Great Place in Tahuya
We had a small family get together at the house for the 4th of July. The host was great to communicate with , the house was as described, and everyone enjoyed the stay. We had 4 kids ages 6-11 who kept themselves busy on the beach and with the games. The kayaks, outdoor gas fire and 4th (3rd) of July fireworks and surprise parade in Tahuya really made it memorable. We would rent again in a second.

I'm from Seattle, love the PNW and its beauty. Hood Canal is my favorite spot because i love seafoods, hiking and the water. I am opening up my home to share with you with the hope to see you come enjoying yourself with your family and loved ones, and make wonderful memories at our place.

Why they chose this property

Large, private house with great views, relaxing and comfortable. Has great Parking area which can fit a trailer, a small boat, and can fit up to 4 cars. Please don't park on the lawn area because it is reserved for the septic and it will damage the drain field if we park on top of it

It is a 5 min drive/boat to Summertide Marina/Resort which has boat launch, grocery and rental facilities.

It's a 5-minute boat ride to city of Union for gas, restaurants, marina, etc. And is a 10-minute boat ride to Alderbrook Golf and spa resort in city of Union. You may even get a peak at Bill Gates or the Nordstrom (houses next to resort).

10 min boat ride to city of Hoodsport for restaurants, whale watching, scuba, and winery tours.

Check out the Tahuya State Forest for OVR rides, Theler Wetlands Trail for wildlife and birds watching, Belfair State park for oysters and camping, picnics. The following restaurants are quite well known in the area:

1. The Hideaway

2. The Rice Bowl

3. Tres Agaves

4. R.N.J. Smoked Meats

5. El Sombrero Mexican Restaurnant

6. Seabeck Pizza

7. Teriyaki Wok
