About the host
Hosted by Erika Takeuchi

We’re Madisen, Mark, and Erika, Seattle natives who share a passion for travel and exploring new places. The Hood Canal quickly became one of our favorite escapes — from the breathtaking water views to fresh oysters, hikes with our pup, and the charming shops and restaurants nearby, it’s a place that never stops inspiring us.
We’re thrilled to share our home with guests who want to experience the same beauty and relaxation that drew us here. If you have any questions during your stay, please don’t hesitate to text or call, we’re always happy to help.

Why they chose this property
Our home is just 5 minutes north of downtown Hoodsport, a charming waterfront town with distilleries, wineries, and great local dining. One of our favorite spots is the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon (10 minutes north), where you can enjoy oysters right on the beach — we recommend a reservation for weekends if you’d like one of their cozy A-frame tables.
Beyond food and drink, the area is an outdoor lover’s dream. We’re only 30 minutes from some of the Pacific Northwest’s most stunning hikes and a gateway to Olympic National Park. Whether you’re here for oysters, wine tasting, or mountain trails, this neighborhood puts it all within easy reach.

What makes this property unique
Our home combines the comfort of a spacious, modern retreat with the natural beauty of Hood Canal views at every turn. Few places offer so much space to gather — with three living areas, a full game loft, and multiple decks, there’s room for everyone to relax their own way.
The expansive main deck and hot tub are favorites with our guests, perfect for morning coffee, evening wine, or stargazing under the clear PNW skies. And because we’re dog-friendly, your four-legged family members can enjoy the adventure too.
It’s a rare balance — quiet, scenic, and private, yet just minutes from fresh oysters, local wineries, Lake Cushman, and Olympic National Park. A true basecamp for both relaxation and exploration.
