This place was amazing both inside and out. Situated in a quiet neighborhood just blocks from downtown. We enjoyed every minute at the house. Perfect for a short getaway or extended stay for the family.

Visited for the weekend and had the best time! The house was clean, the hot tub was perfect temperature, beds were comfortable, bedrooms were spacious, the location to Main Street was perfect and the other little touches made this a great place to stay. I’d love to come back and rent Vino Vida again. Also, the home is 100 years old, but doesn’t seem like it because of the updated appliances/fixtures/furniture/decor. 10/10 for my family.

Amazing getaway!

This charming house was just what we were hoping for! It had everything we needed and the location was perfect for taking advantage of all that Fredericksburg has to offer. It was absolutely spotless which was the icing on the cake. We definitely would stay again!

Family time

We met our son and daughter in law and our 6 month old grandson, our daughter and her 2 children for a nice relaxing weekend in Fredericksburg. Everything was perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were very soft. We really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and watching the children play in the beautiful yard.

Great space; great location

We stayed here as a group of 3 couples of a weekend. The house was in perfect condition and was very conveniently located close to main street. Everything was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire in the evenings. We did not use the hot tub.

Perfect place to get away

This home is just lovely. So peaceful and relaxing and was perfect for our visit. There was plenty of room to sit and visit-both inside and outside. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom which was very nice. Would definitely stay here again in the future and recommend this home to anyone that is thinking about visiting Fredericksburg. A definite 10 out of 10 in my book!!

Wonderful stay on our Girls Weekend !!!

This home is so charming with the quaintness of the early 1900s but with the updated necessities.The only thing we didn’t love was how bad the floors squeaked in the upstairs loft!! There was no quiet way to walk around without waking everyone up!! But it too was an adorable loft!! We would definitely stay here again!!

Fun Family Getaway

The house is very cute, and the kitchen is very well-stocked with dishes and just about everything you need to make meals. The bed in the large master is comfortable and the room keeps very cool. The dining room table is large and accommodated our group of 8 perfectly. The backyard was very relaxing and there is plenty of seating. The hot tub was relaxing and very clean. The upstairs was hot, maybe due to the extreme Texas heat, but the downstairs was comfortable. Even with the 5 floor fans going, it was still uncomfortably warm upstairs. Maybe not enough insulation. Another negative was that the dryer was not accessible. It would have been nice to dry our clothes after getting in the hot tub. The home is very pet-friendly, and the backyard has plenty of space for your fur-kid! Our family really enjoyed ourselves!

Thank you, Mirella, for your feedback. We are working with the owner to address the AC issue upstairs, but yes, this Texas heat is a battle! We do not have a washer and dryer available to guests at his property, as it is not listed as an amenity. In the future, you can look for properties that do have this feature, or you can reach out to us if you are in need of using one. Thanks again for staying with us!

The house was filthy. Heavenly hosts sent a team to “clean” on Saturday- at which point belongings were rearranged and rummaged through. Not items that may have been in the way. In items that were PUT AWAY. Specifically, purses and such. Multiple dead bugs still were found. We specifically mentioned the master bedroom, the sheets and comforter needed to be replaced or the very least, cleaned. Imagine the surprise of finding a dead bug IN THOSE SHEETS that they “changed”. There were dead bugs in towels, on windowsills, and bugs crawling in our personal belongings. We found roaches, ants, termites (with visible termite damage on windowsills). There was damage on the doors and windows to indicate they were not sealed properly. As well as a hole in the actual floor. One guest scratched her finger, which caused an infection. Almost immediately she was not able to remove her rings from her finger. This was a bachelorette horror story and honestly ruined the entire trip. I am concerned that they are still able to allow people to stay here. The pictures are entirely misleading. It is rundown and the backyard was not even swept up at the very least. I have more pictures than I am able to attach. for safety purposes- this house is extremely exposed. As mentioned earlier, multiple doors and windows were obviously not maintained. As well as multiple areas from the home were visible from windows because they lack coverage. As a woman, I would not stay here again. Even in a group.

We want to clarify a few points regarding your concerns: When our housekeeping team arrived, all items in the home were moved out of the way to allow them to properly clean and change the sheets. We would not have been able to complete the cleaning if items had been left in place. Pest control had treated the home just a few days prior to your arrival, which may be why a few bugs were visible; as your photos show, many were already dead. We also had pest control treat the home again after your departure. This property is a historic home in Fredericksburg, over 100 years old. The homeowners have completed numerous renovations to maintain the quality of the home while preserving its historic charm. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. Please know that we did our best to assist during your stay, and a refund was processed in response to your concerns. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps both us and the homeowners continue to improve the guest experience.

Gazebo Haus

The Gazebo Haus was just as described. 10 of us ladies we’re celebrating a 60th birthday and Fredericksburg did not disappoint. We did bring a blow up mattress as no one wanted to sleep on the top bunk. The house was perfect for our group and we would certainly come back!!
