Hi Laurie, For your information, we have been running our 7 vacation homes from 2020 and since then, we have been super host with 5 star ratings in each of our apartment. Your review has surprised me. Overall, you were great in communication. From the first you arrived at our vacation apartment, you requested an umbrella for the beach and we gave you a new umbrella in less than half an hour. Also, you requested more blankets. In Florida at this moment, the weather averages about 78 to 82 degrees. However, we were more than happy to fulfill request because you are a guest at our vacation and left you another duvet. After this, you didn't complain anymore. I want to also add that in each of our apartments and in each bed already has one sheet, blanket, and duvet. That is our standard. About our bathroom, our standard is: In each apartment, we have a grab holder for the shower and bathroom. Inside of the shower, we also have a nonslip super absorbent rug. And outside in the bathroom, we have bathroom nonslip mat like you find in a hotel. Standard one. I asked our neighbor hotel to look in their bathroom, they have same bathroom carpet, but the different is that one room, not apartment, is double price compared to us in the same location near the beach. Again, we have an apartment for four people compared to a hotel with a room for two guests and double the price. Then, I saw that after you ended your stay, you didn't follow the rules and was quite negligent. You left three of our air conditioners at 65 degrees. It was so freezing that our AC had ice and almost froze over. The cleaning lady complained and left open the door to start to clean because it was so cold. Now I understood why you requested a second blanket. I hope that our AC's doesn't have a problem because my AC repair guy said when it is low and left in that way for a long time, there is a huge risk to break the AC's. Also this is caution for other VRBO hosts who want Laurie for a tenant, she loves a cold freezing apartment. Also, cleaning lady asked me to join her because you moved most of our furniture in our apartment. She didn't want to take any responsibility to rearrange the furniture and possibly break and be held responsible. I was so surprised. I never saw someone move our furniture in this way. All of my apartment in sunny place has the same water pressure, but no one complained. You can see each review before and later of your review. Again, we always have five stars. If you did not like our furniture or our place, and to you it is "outdated", why did you request to be our guests? There are pictures provided of each apartment on VRBO. Also, each apartment can allow four guests and reviews are always five stars. No complaints about space. Also, our place had our yearly inspection and we have a report notarized in February 2024 that in each apartment is in great condition and adheres to pompano beach vacation rental standards. This includes electrical, AC, water pressure, windows, etc. So, I do not know what you are referring to about electrical outlets or water pressure. And, why you didn't inform us when you were there? You are a great communicator and always reached out to me and Sabrina when you needed something. So I am shocked to see all these complaints that I was never aware of. I supposed all this complaint arrived after your check-out when I sent you a picture that you broken the toilet seat. It was impossible to repair for me, Sabrina, and the cleaning lady. All of us women who help to make this place perfect for our guests. I did not ask you for the money back but I asked you why you didn't inform me because I need time to repair before my new guests arrive. In that moment, you answered to me: "My husband slipped on the rug in the bathroom and almost broke his back. You should get non slip rugs. His back has been hurting for 2 days." Then you asked me for a refund. This is not correct. Instead of taking accountability, you come with this story and only when I informed you about the broken toilet. Overall, I want to caution other owners considering renting to this individual because after all that our staff did to make sure that she and her family were comfortable with their stay, we are left with a bad review and many repair costs. But now thankfully, we paid for a new toilet seat and repairs and now our future guests are continuing to leave 5 star reviews. All the best, Laurie.
