And unlike other condos, the Kiahuna offers full resort amenities including on-site office, security, maintenance, housekeeping, pool, waterslide, jacuzzi, gym, yoga/exercise classes, tennis, basketball and pickleball courts, golf course, outdoor bbqs. The sunny south shore offers a perfect holiday all year long. The east shore is very windy and the north shore (Princeville/Hanalei) is the rainy side and there are no condo resorts directly on the sand like the Kiahuna. The area is super nice, and the grounds are very pretty. The host provided lots of good information about the condo and the island. We were a little disappointed that the condo wasn’t stocked with some of the basics. We were missing coffee filters and sugar.

We wished that the sofa made into a hide-a-bed.There are some fun Hawaiian movies in the condo we would have liked to watch, but no working DVD player. Overall we would gladly stay in this condo again.

Kiahuna is the perfect place for anyone who wants easy access to both the beach and a fun pool. The grounds are beautiful and make for easy strolls and both the beach club (pool and gym) and beach cabana have exactly what you need. We appreciated the boogie boards, snorkels, and all the kitchen items in the condo!

Pleasant tropical week by the beach

We enjoyed our time at this condo. Communication with the owner was terrific, and the unit had all the essentials for a relaxing visit. Admittedly the entire property is a bit worn at the edges and the unit itself could use some updating on furniture, fixtures, etc but none of that got in the way of our fun. If you are a beach lover, the unit is a five minute walk to great swimming and snorkeling. If you are more of a gym user or pool lounger, be prepared to use a nice private club across the street because the property doesn’t have a pool or gym. I’d say this is not a deluxe property but the location and awesome orchid garden work in its favor.

Wonderful stay at Kiahuna

We loved Kim Condo. A lot of listings harp on about having AC. It’s really not important. We didn’t need it, it cooled down sufficiently every evening and the ceiling fans worked just great. Location is superb with walkable access to a Plethora of restaurants in less than 5 minutes. Beautiful beach and the grounds were a pleasure to walk through. I believe there are bbqs but no idea where. The living room is an excellent size and general accommodation is clean and spacious. Highly recommend.

The unit was decorated well and clean. We knew going into the trip that there is no air conditioning. Reviews said that it cooled down nicely in the evening, so we went ahead and booked it. Sleeping was quite difficult as it didn't cool down in the unit until 2 am or so. There were plenty of fans provided, but we are accustomed to sleeping in cooler temperatures. Expected more of a breeze to move through the unit. Quick access to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and pool/fitness club. We saw turtles every day on the beach nearby and a couple of Hawaiian Monk Seals! It was a wonderful first trip to beautiful Kauai!

Great family birthday trip

We had a great stay at Kim’s property. Everything listed was accurate, clean, easy communication & went smoothly. No AC but she has plenty of fans that help. The boogie boards and sand toys were great to have. We rented snorkel gear from the beach hut and had a great time. Would definitely stay here again.

Located near a great beach

We enjoyed our stay at the beginning of June. While in Koloa, we tried 3 different beaches and walked by a 4th. This was our favorite for playing in the sand and our kids playing in the waves. The bottom is mostly sandy with some scattered smaller rocks. This makes for a very easy entry for snorkeling, without the crowds of Poipu beach. Other beaches had a wider variety of fish and calmer water, but with much more difficult and rocky entries, resulting in scraped legs. Bonus: no urchins here! The beach hut was awesome to have so that we could pick up clean beach towels and not have to wash/ reuse them daily. Staying right across from a small shopping center was nice as well as being such a short drive from the larger Kukui'ula shopping center. We went to both places several times. The condo has all the cookware you could need, even a small rice cooker! I was very surprised at how well the kitchen was stocked. One thing to note is that there is a lot of noise from groundskeepers during the day, doing leafblowing and other maintenance. Since we didn't have a napping baby, it wasn't a problem. The landscaping is beautiful! The roosters will wake you up at 4am, but you'll be on mainland US time, so that's not too much of a problem, either. Our contact with the property manager was frequent beforehand and VERY clear. I couldn't have asked for better. We visited the Poipu Beach Club twice and the kids enjoyed the pool, waterslide, and hot tub. Thanks for a fun stay!

Great condo, great host

Wonderful two story condo in the beautiful Kiahuna Plantation resort. No ocean views, but the garden views on the two patios (one upper and one lower) were great. The gardening in the entire resort is amazing. In addition to the beach (which is a short walk thorough the resort), we really enjoyed access to the athletic club. Pool was great for kids, and we also played pickle ball and used their gym equipment. It’s within walking distance, but we drove back and forth too. The club has great food too, and none of the long waits you sometimes get at other restaurants. Make sure to try the “Little Fish Coffee”, which is almost across the street from this condo. Working with Kim (the host) on the rental was a breeze too: super responsive and helpful. Will definitely be back!

We have lived in Southern California our entire lives, raising our two sons in San Diego. We love spending our vacations in Hawaii and other tropical locations. We started bringing our boys to the Kiahuna Plantation when they were young. It was such an easy and gorgeous place to vacation that we just kept going back!

This is our favorite Hawaiian island - its lush greenery and tropical vegetation is a tropical paradise! The Kiahuna is the perfect place for families, fun and relaxing without the crowds of Waikiki or Maui !!

This is a unique low-density resort with large open grassy areas, gorgeous tropical gardens and traditional Hawaiian plantation style condos - not your typical high rise hotel. With approximately 1584 square feet/147 square meters, there's plenty of room to stretch out and relax in this well-appointed condominium. Right across the street is a mini-market for stocking the fridge, as well as restaurants and shopping. This beautiful beach is perfect for swimming, snorkeling and surfing right out front, with on-site rentals, surf lessons and free beach chairs/loungers and towels. Just a few steps to golf and tennis as well.
