Our experience!
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. We had everything we needed and the location was terrific! I do have a few suggestions. If you swing out before going up the drive, it's easier to get up. The lighting throughout the house is obviously new, but harsh. Add lamps, under cabinet lighting, raise mirrors in the bathrooms and more lighting to soften things and make the cabin more inviting. We made due with the hanging rack in the master, but a closet would have been very nice to keep the room less cluttered feeling. The closet was locked. Other than those minor things, we really enjoyed it. The front bathroom toilet handle would get stuck and needs fixing, so it doesn't catch and run.

Cozy Cabin
Location was great. Far enough away from the main drag but not too far. All rooms were spacious and had everything we needed.

Family stay
Beds were pretty good except 1 of the beds in queen bed rooms, pretty location, nice bathrooms, comfy living room. The cleanliness (dusting) was something to be desired it looked like it had been hit and miss. Shelves, light fixtures and statues were very dusty I could write messages in dust and did so in main bathroom. The kitchen table had left over cornflakes in the cracks and crayons. All of which we did not have. Water was left in coffee maker and had to be cleaned before using. We tracked water in from hot tub and wipes up with a towel and the towel was black from the floor! We did not notify the owners as we had already started our vacation and I really don’t like ppl to come in when we are and aren’t there. I guess it would be a good idea to inspect the property to make sure housekeeping is doing there job. Owners very responsive when I did have a question.

About the host

Hello! We are a young family from the Midwest who loves to travel. Stephen is from Iowa, and Lindsey is from Missouri, but we currently reside in Tennessee. When we travel, have been blessed by staying in many short term rentals and we want to share that joy with others! We especially love the Smoky Mountains. Our favorite things to do are hike and play in the waterfalls with our three young kids.

Why they chose this property

Our cabin is truly a diamond in the rough. It is tucked away with great wooded views, giving privacy. However, you are only 4 minutes from Wears Valley Road and 7 minutes from the Pigeon Forge Parkway!

My favorite part of the cabin is the front porch, where you can rock in the wooden rocker, sip a coffee and take in the beautiful wooded view. I also love the huge stone fireplace as well as the spacious master bedroom. The other bedrooms have two queen beds in each, so it is the perfect place for multiple families to gather together.

We love to escape to the mountains with family and spend time connecting in nature. We hope to help provide similar experiences with other families.
