About this property

Welcome to the Tropical Pod.

This quiet two bedroom comfortably sleeps four people, the maximum this condo allows. Sleeping accommodation for an infant/s can be arranged at no extra charge.

At the back of the apartment you will find a lovely, back patio. As you are on the first floor, there are no steps to conquer with luggage. I love using good quality sheets for my guests and the kitchen has all you need for cooking. One bath and one beach towel will be available per person.

You will find shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap in the shower rack holder. There is an iron and ironing board, fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink, first aid kit in the lower bathroom drawer.

Located within walking/uber distance to the Old San Juan, Condado, Miramar and Santurce where you will find many options for dining, museums, galleries, meet up locations for island tours and countless other discoveries. The average uber ride to Plaza Colon, Old San Juan is $5, or if you walk at a leisurely pace along the ocean (gorgeous views) you will arrive at the entrance of the Old City in 30 minutes. The apartment is located 1/2 block from ocean views and a bike path, and a 5 min walk to one of the best beaches in the San Juan area, El Escambron. You are steps away from a beautiful large park (great for kids as it hosts big walking paths and a playground) the Hilton hotel, hosting restaurants and the Olas Spa. Other modalities of transport: electric scooters +buses. New restaurants have opened up steps away from the apt, for example: Tostados (breakfast+lunch) and Celeste (expensive and yummy french food)

This apartment is in a building that has full-time tenants and other rental units; following the golden rule of respectfully quiet between 10pm and 8am is required.

Before departure, if your trash bag is full, please take your garbage down and across the street (there is a bin on the bike path). Check out is at 10am. Check in is at 2pm. Please remember to send your ETA, if it is after sunset, I will make sure lights are turned on for you.

Golden rule: Please turn off anything not in use except the Wi-Fi system and fridge. Thank you.

Close to the beach

The best thing about this stay is the host, Rebecca. She is super responsive and eager to make your stay special. The location is between Old San Juan and Condado…so both are easy to get to via Uber. The beach (El Escambron) was easy to get to and is walkable. The place was very clean and as described. Loved the patio out back with the lights. A great place to wind down with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day.

Pleasant apartment in central location

We enjoyed our stay in this pleasant, clean, well-appointed apartment. The location is close to a beautiful beach, and a pleasant walkway to San Juan’s historic district. Our host was very responsive when we had questions. We would definitely stay here again!

We were two couples and found the property to be just what we wanted. Nice walking distances to beaches and old San Juan. The interior patio was where we spent a lot of enjoyable time. The host was terrific, quickly responsive, essential items all on hand including milk and beer in the fridge on arrival. The property was in excellent condition. It is an urban area, like all of San Juan, and the noise level was as expected for the location. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

I am a professional photographer and travel quite a bit, often using short term rentals as my means of housing while away from home. From a travelers perspective, I have a good idea about what guests are looking for and my goal is to make sure you have a great, well-deserved vacation.

This fully equipped condo is in a fantastic location with easy access to the Old San Juan, Condado, Miramar and Santurce. It is 1/2 block from ocean views and a 5 minute walk to the Escambron beach where you can swim, surf and do snorkeling. Bring a picnic and spend a lazy day soaking up the sun and swimming in the Caribbean ocean. The kitchen is well-appointed and you will find soap, shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, beach and bath towels, a lovely outdoor and indoor dining tables, fast wifi, smart tv screen and more.
