Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port is a 30-minute drive away. A beautiful tourist village and the starting point for the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.
The market is held on Friday mornings in Saint-Palais, Saturday mornings in Mauleon, and Wednesday mornings in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.
Pagolle is a farming village. There is an inn run by the villagers on a voluntary basis (therefore not always open). A grocery van arrives every Saturday morning. Bread is available for delivery daily.
