About this property

Oceanfront historic gem on great block

If you are looking for an authentic Wrightsville Beach experience, this is your place! Our family has owned this 1890 single family house since at least 1913. It still feels like an old fashioned cottage but has been updated to add WIFI and to provide year round comfort with central cooling and heating. We have four bedrooms and three baths plus a pullout sofa in one of the two living rooms. This place oozes with charm. Just sitting out on one of the two porches will bring you an amazing sense of serenity. We have generally rented only to friends but decided to expand to VRBO to let more people get a feel of old Wrightsville Beach with modern comforts. Our cottage is very close to Trailborne ( formerly known as the Blockade Runner) so water sports rentals are super easy. You can walk to the center of town and visit the Trolley Stop for a hot dog or Kohls for an ice cream cone or the Workshop for coffee. Go another block and buy your groceries at Robert's. Just thinking of those special places makes me smile. Wrightsville Beach is a special place and staying in our family's cottage will make your Wrightsville Beach experience even more incredible. Enjoy!

We share the sidewalk with 317 so please keep beach things on the 315 side and do not use their yard.
We generally rent Friday-Friday. If you break something, please let us know so we can fix it.

Wonderful place! Right on the beach. Home is adorable and very comfortable. Host brought us delicious cinnamon rolls - what a great touch. Nothing bad to say. Highly recommend and will come back.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming home. We enjoyed the porches and the beautiful view of the ocean. The location was great - within walking distance of coffee shops and restaurants. Great location and lots of charm. Everything was clean. The owner is very responsive. Great property!Notes:Parking 5 regular cars not SUV’s just an fyi. We stuck the fronts of our cars under the house but no way were we fitting under so 2 big cars or 5 small cars. She had lots of beach Chairs and beach towels- which was great!Take a portable speaker for music.WiFi was great.Beds comfortable.Water pressure great.

Wrightsville historical home

This vacation home was perfect for our family of five with room to spare. We loved the character of this older historic home and the location was absolutely perfect. It was just a few steps to the beach and we could easily walk to the shops, restaurants or Robert’s grocery. We really enjoyed our time there!

Summer Vacation 2024
