We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on returning. The converted barn is spacious, beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Our hosts warmly welcomed us and our little dog. It was truly a pet-friendly experience. The property has a lovely view and includes a grazing Highland cow in the pasture. Point Lobos and Monastery Beach are within walking distance, and visits to Carmel are just minutes away.

Such a unique fun place to stay with our family with great amenities.The view and location are perfect and foosball and pool were great fun during our down time. Rich and his wife are excellent hosts and shared events in the community they thought we would be interested in. Highly recommend and already booked our stay here again for next year. Bella and Taylor, the cows, were great entertainment for our 18 year old.

Probably the best location in the area

We stayed at the Brown Barn for a few days in August and had a wonderful experience. Our favorite things about this rental were the location, property, and activities on site. Our kids loved watching the cows being fed, playing pool and foosball and roasting smores. We’d highly recommend the Brown Barn for families up to 6 that want to be able to walk in to Point Lobos.
