The listing was just like it said. It was a cozy cabin and a great place to relax, close enough to W. Jefferson to go to shops and a restaurant. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view from it. It was a great couple of days. Would love to stay again.

Such a cute cabin! Hot tub and grill were awesome to have-especially after a day hiking in Grayson Highlands. The fire pit was very nice too (but we didn't use it due to a statewide burn ban). We did use the gas logs inside for a little bit though. It's quiet and the stars are beautiful there (very little light pollution). Would definitely rent this place again!

Wonderful home close to West Jefferson

We absolutely loved staying at this property. It was very comfortable and offered the serenity we were craving. We especially enjoyed the front porch. It was the perfect place to enjoy coffee in the morning and to watch fireflies from during the evening. Such a quiet location!

Great fall weekend getaway

Our family of 4 absolutely loved the Cabin and our ventures into West Jefferson. The cabin was well stocked and had everything we needed, and the views from the front porch were spectacular. Our kids loved playing the in large front yard and sleeping in the loft bedroom at night. We have stayed in several places in the NC mountains and this ranks among the best of them! Thanks for a great time!

Clean & Charming Cabin

I always worry about the cleanliness of rentals because I’m highly allergic to mold and dust. This cabin was clean and well maintained. The host was very communicative. She made sure we knew about the presence of a bear up the street. She also was very cool about my husband accidentally breaking a lid to a pan in the kitchen. I’d definitely stay here again!

Cute, Comfortable, and Clean

We loved our stay at Christin's property. It's cute, comfortable, and clean- and a fairly short, absolutely beautiful drive to Grayson Highlands. Sitting on the porch listening to the birds during the day and watching the fire flies at night was perfect. It even got cold enough to use the fire pit one night. Also, Christin is very hospitable, checking in on us after our arrival and offering some great suggestions, ones that vacationers might not know. We hope to visit again soon.

Starry nights with mountain and river views

My husband and I were impressed with this lovely cabin and enjoyed the quietude, mountain and river views, and the evening sky full of stars! Better Than Advertised

Everything about this property was fantastic. It was cute, quaint, had lots of charm and plenty of room. The decor is not stuffy at all, and the owner has done a great job of providing everything we needed without the place feeling crowded: plenty of seating, great lighting, blankets to curl up under while watching a movie, and very comfortable accommodations. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I moved permanently to Ashe Country in the summer of 2021. We love being on the River and enjoying all this area has to offer. We just started renting our short term vacation cabin in July 2021, so we tend to go out of our way to make our guests feel special. We love the outdoors, our two dogs Holly and Roxy and spending time with new friends we've made in the area.

Why they chose this property

Being from a large city in NC, we knew we wanted to retire in the mountains. This cabin came on the market just as we were preparing to make our move. It couldn't be more convenient to us and couldn't be more perfect for our first time property. It had so much charm that we knew we could update it and put in all the little touches that we love when we stay in other rental properties. We co-own the house with a friend who does interior design and a family member who adds her special touches of charm. It's a great collaboration of styles to make it a perfect hidden gem.

We've received nothing but 5-Star reviews from other rental avenues. Here's what one of our recent renters said about this property:

What makes this property unique

The view, the view, the view! From the porch you can see the sun rise and set, hear the moo of the cows across the river, and the babbling waters of the world's second oldest river below. We love that it is peaceful and quiet without being too far away from civilization. We love that the location offers such a wide variety of activities while being so close by. We also love that it's a small cabin without being cluttered and cramped. It's a small cabin feel with big cabin amenities.
