Experience the best of St Simons Island from this 1960s ranch style 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental cottage. Easily accommodates 6 guests. Artist Cottage is delightful in every way. Relaxation is at the forefront of the property’s design, demonstrated by the patio and large deck that extends into the private, fenced-in backyard.
The living room features sleek, hardwood floors with covered armchairs and a plush sofa. Settle in front of the brick-framed fireplace, enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, and stream your favorite movie on the large flat screen TV above the mantle. If you decide to eat in, the kitchen has plenty of space to prepare a meal. The dining room table sits across from the kitchen and seats 4. Fall asleep easily in one of the three comfortable bedrooms in this cottage; each attached to a private bath and plenty of closet space.

Great stay

Check in was easy and the place was as advertised. Close to shopping and a nice place to spend a long weekend. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed our stay with the family.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is located down a very peaceful street, but still close the village and beaches. We loved the back porch and yard. The house had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay at this home again.

The house is super cute! We love the local art throughout and enjoyed there was so much information about the area to help us decide what to have for dinner. There was plenty of space for the humans and the doggos, having a fenced in yard is fabulous! The location is super convenient to get to anything on the island in minutes

Summer break!

We stayed for 17 days and found the house to be so charming and comfortable. We loved the screened in porch and spent most of our time out there when we were home. The backyard was beautiful with the mossy oaks and my pup loved it. The location was perfect for us! The only complaints we had were the old outlets: most were missing the 3rd prong capability, and the WiFi really needs an extender, but it forced us to be off tv and iPads and enjoy each other!

Family get together/sing along

This was the first time in over 20 years were able to arrange a direct flight and get our disabled/memory impaired brother down from Michigan.The artist cottage had enough beds, and enough space for us to sing or eat together when the local family came over. It was very centrally located and easy to get anywhere we needed to go. Especially St. Williams Catholic Church when my brother was part of or leading the music. Thank you for everything. The cottage was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely be back to stay!

Loved the vintage feel of this house

If you appreciate homes that are not completely renovated, this is a perfect home, still original features, but clean and well cared for. I love the bathrooms still being original, but navigating the shower knobs is a bit of a learning curve, left is hot, turn it on all the way, you need very little cold. (I just saved you 10 minutes for your vacation) Perfect home for dogs, back yard is fenced and secure. Screen porch is amazing. Thanks for sharing your property!

I would recommend this home to any pet owner. This home is in need of maintenance, new mattresses, and could use at least one more comfortable chair. The kitchen was nicely stocked but could use an upgrade in the pots and pans and utensils area. It is a nice place but needs some TLC.

Not bad, not great.

Brought my special needs client with me and purchased sheets for the bed before we went as a failsafe to not ruin the house’s linens. The master bed that’s listed as a full is a queen so we had to go purchase new sheets to fit. The bed in the master bedroom was also VERY uncomfortable. The other bed in the single bed room is listed as a queen and is a king. The house was very clean aside from ticks and earwigs we kept finding inside, the tick part was alarming but luckily none of us ever found one stuck on us. The beach supplies were bountiful! And the sand bottles left to collect for keepsakes were a cute touch. The back porch is a 10/10, make use of the bikes! Overall it was fine. Good location, super close to public beach access, and cute community but, also would not book again.

House was old with colored tile in bathrooms. It looked like the yard was in bad shape with tons of leaves everywhere. Water did not drain in Master tub. Coffee makes wouldn’t work. Toaster didn’t work either. It was nice having a back yard for the dogs and the bicycles was nice also.

Great house with a not so great experience.

Great house with a not a great experience. The house and layout were beautiful. However the furniture and beds are not comfortable at all and don’t expect a response from the management company. During our stay we had a few broken appliances (toaster and coffee maker) with no replacement offered after an email was sent. Also they do not tell you till after you book the place but they do not offer a lot of supplies, paper goods, soap, etc. we have never stayed at a place that didn’t have enough of the basics to get you thru the week. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place when there are soo many others that have better management companies.
