This property had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed our stay and visited with family staying at the Pinery Provincial Park. Very much appreciated that the home was dog friendly!
Beautiful place to stay with lots of charm and thought to what a guest would need during a getaway.
Close to restaurants and grocery store. Relaxing fenced treed patio ,good parking , quiet street .
Would definitely return
We needed a little getaway and this was perfectly positioned place to stay with our pup to explore a little bit of Stratford (1hr drive) and Grand Bend (20min drive). The place is beautifully decorated with a nice yard for an evening by the fire.
We had a lovely stay at this relaxing & well appointed property. All the amenities we needed, quiet, well kept residence with a wonderful backyard just for us! It was exactly what we were looking for & it delivered.
We stay while our family camped at the Pinery provincial park. The property was exactly as described and worked perfectly for our family. It is small, so the outdoor space was useful and perfect for our dog.
My wife, my medium sized dog and I stayed here for a couple nights. It was a very cozy and comfortable place to be. It is a great location and centralized depending on what you want to do. Going to the beach, hiking, golfing and other activities are all only 15-30 minutes away. There is a grocery store within minutes as well which is handy. Highly recommend.
We traveled from Los Angeles to visit our Canadian family. We have stayed in MANY rentals over the years and we can honestly say this one was one of the best.
Clean and fully equipped with everything we could have ever needed.
A short drive to the beach and a short drive to my family. We couldn’t ask for anything more.
Lovely, clean, modern home within walking distance of a grocery store, LCBO, ice cream parlor, and playground with a splash pad. We used the fire pit every evening and got a seasonal pass to the provincial park to fish and spend the day at the beach. Laundry in the washroom was a huge bonus and plenty of towels. Absolutely loved our stay!!!
We had an amazing time in Parkhill and the surrounding area. We were thrilled to be able to walk to the grocery store, restaurants, an ice cream shop, and LCBO.
Our dog absolutely fell in love with the enclosed yard, choosing to spend much of his getaway quietly watching the neighborhood.
It is clear the hosts put love into this property. The space was inviting and decorated beautifully. We would love to come stay again!
Very beautiful decor and very quant neighbourhood. This was perfect for a young family to relax in. The shower was amazing, you literally have to feel it for yourself. Even our oldest son who hardly enjoys showers raved about it. The owners were quick to reply and everything went smoothly. Thanks again.
All our friends were surprised that we planned to stay in Parkhill - but we would say, why not?! The Property was easy to find, very clean, and met our needs perfectly. We stayed with friends and were able to explore the area easily. Although we booked our holiday stay during the winter, we used the bbq and sat out in the winter sun. All round, a great place, with a good location. Thank you, Kristen.
The Daytripper was the perfect getaway for our family. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly and we enjoyed taking our dog for his daily walks. There are lots of beautiful trails within 15 minutes and Pinery Provincial Park. The rental had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. And Kristen was available if we needed anything, which we didn't. Thank you.
I was so pleased with this rental !
It was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and super quiet. I only stayed for three nights but I slept comfortably every night. It was nice to have a little yard to sit outside with my dogs and enjoy the nice weather. The host was easy to contact and was very hospitable. If I ever had to return to Parkhill, I would definitely book with this host. They made sure that I had all the comforts of home.

Bring bug spray
We had lovely weather for our vacation to Grand Bend. For a family of 4 the eating space is limited so having the outdoor space would have been very helpful, but unfortunately there were lots of mosquitoes and tho we had our own bug spray it wasn’t enough of a repellent to prevent the kids from getting badly bitten up. The unit is nicely renovated and the host was quick to respond to questions, but obviously they cannot control the mosquitoes.

While we always appreciate feedback, this 2 star review is feels retaliatory in light of your stay. I'm sure you've been made aware we filed a formal complaint about you trespassing not only into our private yard, but into our shed. You also brought a pet without permission and your kid peed on our couch. We fully expected this when we requested compensation for the pet as well as the damage.
As you mentioned, the mosquitos are quite bad this year in Southwestern Ontario and beyond our control. I sure that helped justify your terrible review.
All the best to you and your family. We hope you have a better experience elsewhere in the future.
Communication with owner excellent, property and rental exactly as depicted. Seems newly renovated and was immaculate, cozy. It was the little details that stood out…from a few kitchen staples like olive oil, a few spices, foil and Saran Wrap. Very well equipped kitchen with all the dishes, utensils and equipment you could need. We really enjoyed the outdoor space too. It was quiet, private and we really enjoyed being off the main road but just a 3 minute walk to Foodland, LCBO, restaurants and an ice cream parlour that we indulged in a few times.
Day tripping from here was easy. All roads seem to lead to Parkhill, lol. Many thanks to the owners, we thoroughly enjoyed this property.
The cottage was well decorated with all the amenities you could need. The coffee pods were an instant hit with our family. The beds and linen were comfortable and the shower is amazing!
The bedrooms were on the 2nd floor with the bathroom on the 1st floor, making for uneasy walks during the night.
The backyard didn’t get any use due to the many mosquitoes in the area. This was just a bad year for them.
Recommend Grammies for pizza as it was fabulous! Parkhill is a great little town to explore. We were lucky to catch the Parkhill summer fair on the way out of town.
Just came back from 4 days and 3 nights at this cozy getaway in Parkhill. Beautifully outfitted 2 bedroom suite at the back of this house, steps from Foodland, LCBO, restaurants, and parks. Minutes from Grand Bend and Ipperwash beaches.
Upstairs is a comfortable master suite with a queen bed, and a second bedroom with two double beds. All the modern conveniences included in the kitchen, living room, small back yard with fire pit (including a wood pile), BBQ. Beautifully appointed bathroom, with laundry. And pet friendly.
Privacy assured. Super quiet. Very relaxing. Contactless hosting. Just a great place for a single, couple, or a small family.
Perfect for what we wanted. Could not be happier! Highly recommended.
House is located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Close to grocery, gas and restaurants. It was well maintained and stocked with coffee, tea and household items. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. My wife and I stayed for 1 week with our adult son visiting us for the last few days. The only issue I have is that it’s described as sleeping 6, which technically is true. There is enough bed space for 6 people but it would be very difficult for 6 adults to share the remaining living space. Living room is small and did allow 3 of us to sit and watch tv but that’s it. Any other guests would have had to sit at a small table on an uncomfortable bench or on a wooden stool at the breakfast bar. It may sleep 6 but it certainly doesn’t accommodate 6.
Nice fenced in yard to relax in too. Parking was fine for both of up. We would definitely stay there again.
