We were visiting family and this was a nice close place to stay. We were able to walk downtown and it was perfect as an extra sleeping space since our family doesn't have guest space in their house.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
The location and overall space is great. Unfortunately some of the property descriptions were a bit overstated/inaccurate. I would not describe the bathroom as modern/newly renovated though it is totally functional, albeit small. And as someone who sleeps on a queen-sized bed at home, the bed is not a queen. It was cozy for my boyfriend and me (guessing it's a double/full). The property listing mentioned laundry but I could not locate a washer/dryer. And the most disappointing thing about the space was the smell. There was a strong scent of curry and animal (cat? dog?) in the studio that made it very unpleasant to be in the space. We made a point of being in the studio for as little time as possible.
We enjoyed our time at the cute and cozy space. It was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed being walking distance to downtown. I would definitely come back!
What a cute little space you’ve created! We enjoyed your comfortable bed and the location is perfect for walkable coffee, shopping, eateries and an evening night out. Thank you for renting to my sister and me.
Great kitchen, I cooked almost every day and they had everything I needed to do so. Location is great, very short walk to bars and restaurants and to the waterfront, feels safe overall. Very clean, comfy, and a nice balance of quirky. Would absolutely stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Suanne
I adore the community of Port Orchard, it has a small-town feel surrounded by the Sinclair Inlet, mountains, and great people. I have lived here for 20 years and have enjoyed being a part of this community. Creating a fun space for our guests has been a wonderful experience and a labor of love.
Why they chose this property
This property is special, we saved it from becoming a parking lot in our downtown area. It was originally built in 1910 and every 20 years they would add a new addition. We are the 5th owner and we love this little house. Dotty's was originally a beauty salon added in the late '60s and we knew it would make a great guest space.
What makes this property unique
Something special is where Dotty's is located, one block off of Bay Street. This makes for such convenience if you want to explore the community, the Marina, the boardwalk, shops, eateries, and more. During the warm months, bands play outside downtown for all to enjoy! A great spot for a quick get-a-way.
