Comfy and cozy! The yard is fenced but not securely enough to let our escape artist pupper off leash. Beds and bedding were great and we appreciated the puzzles!
We were traveling with 4 adult family members, needing three beds. Having the extra 1/2 bath is always a plus. The home was conveniently located, the beds were comfortable, and it was well-appointed to fit our needs. Would definitely stay again!
The house was great. The two issues we had were that (1) the backyard has a bunch of burr bushes, and our dog got stuck in one and got a bunch of burrs in her fur, and (2) there's one section of the fence that seems to just be the side of a crate resting between the house and shed. It fell over at one point and someone's dog wandered into the yard. Thankfully, our dogs weren't outside. Otherwise, our stay was great.
The house was good for our purpose. It was clean, beds were comfortable, shower was nice, home was stocked well. The entry pad for the code was very finicky and I found it to be frustrating. I think that should be switched out for a new one.
Myself and my friends' stay at this property was excellent rom beginning to end. The property was very clean and tidy, the check-in process was seamless and convenient, the listing for the property was accurate and comprehensively included all aspects of the property, the property manager was responsive and allowed for a constant open line of communication, and even let myself and my friends check in a couple hours early, and finally, the location of the property was also nice, as it was directly next to a public park and was located within what appeared to be a safe suburban neighborhood.
The house is small for the number of people it says it can accommodate. The supply of plates was not adequate and the same for silverware. We were there when it was hot and the temperature was very warm inside the house. It did meet our needs.
Stayed the weekend for a wedding with our two young kids. Close to a park and easy on/off the highway. A couple glitches, but that was out of the hosts control. The keypad for entry was sensitive and tricky at first, but eventually got the hang of it. Place was clean, but it got pretty warm. The central air seemed to only work on the first floor, but a window AC helped upstairs. Would recommend.
The yard was a dream for the dogs. Walking in the neighborhood was easy, there is a small park behind the house and a nearby paved path. We tried to sleep 1 of us in the living room with the dogs but the "futons" are so uncomfortable it was impossible. They really shouldnt be listed as sleeping options at all. The freezer didnt work. The host was great about us extending our stay until the evening.

Response from VrboOwner on 13 Apr 2024
Hi Christine, glad the spring weather was decent to enjoy the big fenced in yard and deck out back. Sorry about the freezer, that has been repaired. Plus you did have the option to plug in the other one. Would have been nice to mention the comfortable memory foam beds. The pull out sofa in the living room is likely more comfortable as futons are, well... futons. We were glad to be able to accommodate the short notice of change request in the reservation, to allow you to do all the things you wanted on your visit.
The property was nice and clean when we FINALLY were able to get into the property 4hrs late. The owner was non-communicative. When we arrived to WI from AZ for my son's wedding I asked the owner how we would be getting access and he responded via text Tomorrow after cleaning
I responded with a copy of our reservation for that day not tomorrow. We received no response for 2hrs. I then began to attempt to reach out to VRBO for 45min, being disconnected 3x with no follow up.
We finally met the owner at the property while he was scrambling to get it clean and found that the road in front of the home was closed due to construction unbeknownst to us. We had made arrangements with the owner who allowed us to host 12 to 15 guests outside for a rehearsal dinner but with the road turn up we indicated it would be a challenge and why had he not told us about it prior to our arrival. I reached out to the owner after our stay asking for a refund again as we had discussed during our waiting time, and he has yet to comply. Again as I stated the property was nice but the owner was very hard to communicate with and non-responsive still.

Disliked: Check-in
Roadwork fiasco
I was forewarned there was roadwork but it greatly impacted our stay, no fault of the host.
Suggestions: 1st impressions matter…
Clean front porch, take away unused door, stuffed chair, dirty mat. Paint stairs & porch, pull weeds. Looks trashy.
Beds were comfortable. Kitchen equipped with dishes and pots but coffee pot either needs good cleaning or replacement.

Poor Communication/Construction Nightmare
This was NOT a 5-star experience. It’s a cute house, although, a bit smaller than the pictures lead you to believe, located on a small side street. This property received low marks mostly due to the owner. The backyard was not completely fenced in for our 2 dogs as the property owner communicated—two garbage cans don’t count as fencing. Communication with the owner was very difficult & at times non-existent. The final confirmation arrived with no door code, so we messaged him days in advance of leaving but didn’t receive it until the day before check-in, & only after contacting VRBO. Most importantly, there was sewer construction in progress. Signage indicated there was no parking on the entire street starting July 11- September 30. This wasn’t communicated until the day before we arrived, but only to “park in the driveway” due to “road construction”. Our first 36 hours were nice—quiet… BUT, come 7 a.m. Monday morning, we all awoke to the sounds of the street being dug up and the house LITERALLY SHAKING! The sewer project manager came to the door to inform us we would need to move our cars if we wanted to be able to go anywhere. Doug was contacted with this information, but it fell on deaf ears. His solution was to offer us an additional day free—what was that going to do? Just give us another day of construction & no access to the driveway, walking a couple of blocks away to get to our cars? Not to mention the house shaking & the noise?? This continued for remainder of our entire stay--7 am to 4 pm each day. In addition to this circus, the AC was no longer blowing, this too was communicated to him but he did nothing about it. Pictures were sent of the construction & thermostat so he understood what was happening. Nothing. On our last full day the water was shut off with 20 minutes notice sending 3 adults scrambling to shower (only 1 shower). Again, I informed Doug thru text. All he wanted was the phone number of the foreman. We left for a few hours only to return to heavy sediment in the toilets, having to run the water until it was clear. Doug did nothing to try and resolve this horror show. No offers were made beyond an extra free night. VRBO tried to get ahold of him with no avail. We spoke once during our stay, I asked why he didn’t let us know way in advance of this construction, his response was how was he supposed to know? “I don’t live there”—maybe not, but it is your property and it’s your business to know what is going on.
