Spacious & Comfy So. Scottsdale Home Base. 3br, 2ba, Pool, Workspace

Comfy open home, centrally located to the best parts of the Phoenix East Valley Area (Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Arcadia, Camelback). Open, remodeled & updated mid-century home with terrific location. Situated between - though not 'in' - the fun of Tempe Campus area and Old Town Scottsdale. Close enough for easy access, while still escaping the chaos.

3 Bed / 2 Bath with workspace. The office has a dual monitor setup you can use plus Full Air Matress. Just plug into a USB port. Office also has a giant TV. TV's on patio, office, living room, master all have Google Chromecasts for streaming. No cable. Though over-air TV is strong signal. There is room in the office for an air mattress (provided).

Family friendly with comfortable back yard - featuring (unheated) pool. Covered outdoor space has a dining table, couch, several chairs and 70" tv. I mean, who doesn't need a giant patio tv?! Great place to lounge and enjoy the weather AND your favorite games and movies. Also have a BIG grill can use (at your own risk). Room off the patio has what us Midwesterners call "a beer fridge".

We do actually live here. So there will everything you need to live: Pots/Pans, Grill, Microwave, Toaster, Coolers, Coffee Pot(s), Spices, and glass wear.

Close to all of the things you want to see:
• Right behind the Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden.
• Street dead-ends about 100 ft after the house and turns into a trail head. The trail runs along canal paths that can take you past the AZ Biltmore Hotel and almost Piestewa Peak in 1 direction. Go the other way, and it goes though Old Town Scottsdale and almost all the way to Talking Stick Resort. Without riding streets
• Speaking of Casinos: 9 miles to Talking Stick Resort (big hotel/casino) and about 5 miles to Casino AZ (smaller casino)
• About 3 miles to Old Town Scottsdale, and same to North End of Mill Ave Campus area.
• 3 bars about .5 miles away at the end of the street and easy walk.
• Papago Buttes hiking trails about 1 mile. Camelback Mountain Trailhead about 4 miles.
• Close to Giants, Cubs, Diamondbacks/Rockies, and A's spring training stadiums
• It's Scottsdale, so golf is everywhere
• LA Fitness about .75 miles away.
• Home is about 3 miles north of Sun Devil Stadium and a little over 2 miles from the Tempe Town Lake Harbor

Remodeled to be open and bright. Comfortable place to gather and chill. You will love having our home as a home base.



IMPORTANT POINT: Great gather house, Not a 'party house'. Neighbor is an awesome 80 yr old couple. Their son is a Sherriff who lives across the street. Other son is city cop who lives a block away. Noise violations are expensive and on you.

Property was close to everything we needed, baseball, old town. Quiet neighborhood, decent pool area to hang out by. If you are a walker/runner or biker, the trail that runs along the canal is awesome, be sure to check it out. I had a couple questions while on the property, Rob was very receptive and responded in a respectable amount of time. We would definitely consider this property again when returning to the Scottsdale area.

Great central location for many spring training baseball parks. Plenty of restaurants options in a short distance. Clean house with great layout. Awesome backyard setup.

We had a wonderful stay at Rod‘s place! It was clean. It was easy access to the interstates, and had all the things we wanted! A pool, open kitchen, enough beds, and so so clean! Great views and a short walk to the botanical gardens! We’ll be back!

Summary the host listed this property while being aware of the plumbing, electrical, cleanliness if the property. This is a summary of bait and switch that happened. Rod was made aware the plumbing issues. The place looked as though it has not been used for a while as there was very old food in the freezer and fridge. Rod stated that everything was checked prior to the booking and checking and everything was fine. However, the diswasher did not work, the faucet and sink area immediately flooded the kitchen when used. After a plumber was called and inspected the issues , he stated it was his professional opinion that there was no way Rod wasnt aware of the issues despite Rod stating that he checked everything prior to checkin even though Rod lives in Florida not Arizona. The plumbling issues explained the vast amount of paper plates and plastic utensils available despite there being vast amounts of dishes availble to use. Rod texted that he would refund us once he recieved fund from Vrbo and then texted that vrbo sent funds to the wrong account even though someone else had booked the property after us despite the plumbling and other issues with the property. The 3 bedroom is not a room but a home office as Rod locks the actual 3rd bedroom. There were dirty dishes in cabinets, the coffee maker was dirty and moldy and had not been used in at least 6 months to a year. Rod again text and stated he would refund the funds however we have not heard from him for several weeks.

He is correct. There was a plumbing issue. Which I feel bad about. I absolutely and positively DID NOT know it was an issue before listing!!! I certainly would have preferred to work with the plumbers before I left!! This home is my primary residence. I just listed it for 3 months to check out FL. I left he property 4 days before Ushaka checked in. I swear I ran the dishwasher with no problems the day I left!! I very much appreciate Ushaka helping me with allowing the workers in to find the fix! Ushaka, I just messaged you through the site for your Venmo to give you some compensation for your assistance. I appreciate you giving the workers access to find a fix. It DEFINITELY was not fun to coordinate all of that from 2/3 of the way across the state. I was living in the home 4 days before he checked in. All of those items were working then, and have worked for subsequent guests. I apologize for your negative experience. As I said, I will send you some compensation (I still will) and I didn't charge anything extra for the very late check out.

My family and I enjoyed our time on this property. We were in town for a baseball tournament and Spring Training and this location was perfect for all of our needs. Clear instructions were left for whatever we needed and the space was comfy and felt like we were living at home. Thank you Rod for a great week!

Rod is extremely helpful and accommodating and seems to be a great guy. Location is awesome for getting around. Place was exactly as advertised. Comfortable for 6 of us.
