Welcome to Foggy Wharf, a traditional renovated 19th century home. We are on Mavillette Beach in Cape St. Mary, Nova Scotia. "VRBO" has our listing as Church Point, however we ar 20 min. south of that. We are approximately one hour south of the Digby/St. John ferry and 20 min. North of Yarmouth/Bar Harbor U.S ferry. With a spacious interior design and plenty of (chef owned) kitchen space. you will find everything you need to always eat in, or BBQ if you choose. Exploring The Cape is a must. During your stay, take a walk on 1.5 kilometer-long Mavillette Beach, a provincial park, or take a walk to the Cape St. Mary Lighthouse Park, which, according to our kids, is the best kite-flying and picnicking spot around (100 meters)! You can also get in some Tee-Time at 1 of the 4 golf courses all within one hour's drive. With many nearby attractions and nothing but breathtaking views, this one very special place, Foggy Wharf will be a visit to heart of Acadia that you will never forget..

Great location was close to the beach and lighthouse and a short drive (20 minutes) to Yarmouth. Nice community, friendly people and host. Enjoyed a long walk on the beach during low tide.
This ended up being a great location for us to stay. Fun places to visit within an hour and lots of beaches and light houses. Awesome sunrise and sunsets. Close enough to enjoy Deep Sky Eye, Boatskeg distillery and other great breweries. Also just a short drive from the ferry. Worth the stay!
This property is unbelievable for it's location, charm, comfort, and owner. I have stayed at many VRBO properties and this is, hands down, the best one I have stayed at. With a lighthouse and beach within walking distance, and overlooking a working harbor across the street, it is absolutely the ideal for experiencing the best of this area of Nova Scotia. The owner has amazing communication and provided an exemplary and low-stress experience.
We had a wonderful time at Foggy Wharf. The house was immaculate and very well stocked. There was a magical mist that came in with the tides on Mavilette beach that took our breath away. Our dog ran for hours on the hard white sand at low tide. We really got to relax and enjoy the surrounding provincial parks. Cape St. Marys is a special place and the people are very friendly.
Our first experience with a VRBO vacation home and we had a wonderful time. The home is beautiful. The view from the second floor family room and the deck is breathtaking. Enjoyed coffee in the morning watching the sunrise and a glass of wine in the evening as the sun sets.
A short walk to the lighthouse for amazing sunsets and picturesque views.
The host was exceptionally kind and quick to answer any questions I had prior to arrival.
My family had a wonderful stay here.
The beach is close by and beautiful.
Would definitely stay here again!!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Location confusion
Great property, but it's listed on Vrbo as being in Church point, when it's actually almost half an hour drive along the coast road further south. Street address was correct, but town wrong, so confusion when inputting google maps, and would have liked to be closer to Saulnierville, where the cycling event we were in was taking place. On the plus side, owner was flexible about the dog when asked, and we left an extra $50 against extra vaccuuming in appreciation.
This property is a very nice space and worked very well for two couple. The view is wonderful, but for our visit the fog was persistent but did not change our opinion of
The property or location.
Great place. Right beside the house. Nice open concept to enjoy the views of the pier, lighthouse and even the fog. Would stay there again. Especially the second floor living room.
