quiet holiday home near Rennsteig and directly at the ski lift

The 2016 renovated and modern furnished holiday home is located in a scenic area on the outskirts of the state-approved resort of Schmiedefeld.
The Rennsteig is only 1 km away. You can start hikes directly at the house.
You can reach the ski lift and cross-country ski run in 100 meters.
Two terraces invite you to linger and enjoy the sun all day.
The house offers enough space for 5 people on two levels.
Animals and smoking are not allowed in the house.

On the ground floor there is the living room with kitchen and dining area, bedroom with double bed (160cm), bathroom with shower / toilet, hall and a storage room.
You reach the attic via a steep space-saving staircase. With a ridge height of 165 cm, it is suitable as a bed or for children to stay. There is a pull-out double bed on one side of the gable, a single bed and an additional toilet on the other.
The house is comfortably furnished and equipped with: dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, flat screen TV.
Children can have fun on the stilt house with a slide.
Directly opposite the holiday home, the hotel "Endspurt" offers not only the opportunity for refreshments but also the use of the wellness area with sauna, infrared cabin and
a small swimming pool with counter current system (after registration and for a fee).
A parking area, which is used by several holiday home owners, is approx. 20 m away from the house.
The parking area and the public access road are regularly cleared in winter. For the arrival, there is also a walk-in width to the house entrance.

In addition to hikes on and around the Rennsteig or in the Vessertal biosphere reserve, which was named the most beautiful valley in central Germany by the MDR, the immediate vicinity offers a variety of excursion destinations.
Worth mentioning are the "Black Crux" visitor mine, the arms museum in Suhl, the Zella-Mehlis marine aquarium, the (Stasi) bunker museum in Frauenwald, the kick cock in Ilmenau, sports facilities and the year-round ski hall in Oberhof and many more.

Erfurt (60 km) - with one of the largest surviving medieval city centers in Germany, the classic city of Weimar (80 km) or the Wartburg in Eisenach (80 km) can be easily reached for day trips via the convenient motorway connections.

Schmiedefeld - located in a high valley between the large Eisenberg (908m) and the large Finsterberg (944 m) - is one of the most snow-sure areas in Thuringia.
The house is at an altitude of about 750 meters above sea level.
At 830 meters long, the ski lift is the longest drag lift in Thuringia.
On the descent, 123 meters of altitude are overcome.
In addition to downhill skiing, Schmiedefeld offers approx. 35 km of cross-country trails and ski hiking trails and the possibility of tobogganing with mulled wine and bratwurst, and if there is continuous frost, a spray ice rink.
