Spend a classic summer in Maine at this darling, studio-style cottage on the shores of Sebago Lake and Sebago Lake Basin, where you'll fall asleep each evening to the soothing songs of the loons.

This cottage is part of the Sebago Lake Lodge and Cottages, a property with 700 feet of lake frontage, swimming and docking areas, canoes to take out on the water, a fitness room, a firepit, and picnic areas. The cottage's interior is charming and timeless, with natural wood planks that adorn the floors, walls, and ceilings. The open living space features a vintage-inspired kitchenette, a cozy breakfast nook where you can linger with your coffee in the mornings, and a comfortable sleeping space with a cable TV. After a day spent swimming, canoeing, and roasting marshmallows around the outdoor firepit, you'll also have a clawfoot tub to help you soak away any lingering stress.

Pretty cottage, broken picnic table outside, could use better mattress, minor housekeeping issues-Vacasa took care of. Vicious dog in area, my dog was attacked by an unleashed owners dog, which ruined stay there.

Great Little Getaway
The wellness cottage while tiny was great with a decent size kitchen and dinning area. The cottage sits right near the water with no other properties in front so with the blinds open we could see a nice lake view from bed!

Amazing weekend
Our stay at the Wellhouse Cottage was amazing. My fiancé and I came up for 4th of July weekend and had a great time. Going into the weekend we had many questions on what the cottage would be stocked with and what it wouldn’t so we came over prepared in case. The cottage had everything from linens to towels to pots and pans to cups and plates and silverware, as well as toiletries. A few things were not as advertised - for example, the coffee maker is only a tea kettle (but easily fixed with a Dunkin’ Donuts down the street) and there was no shared gas grill, there was only a small charcoal grill sitting outside the cottage. A neighbor shared with us that every cabin included in the area was privately owned. Other than the fire pit, nothing was shared in the community. Also, we thankfully brought our own paddle boards with us. There didn’t seem to be any shared canoes or kayaks in the community and there was no public access beach. There was a small roped off area for swimming off of a dock but you were not able to swim far as it was the entrance/exit to the large part of the lake with boats always going by. We hope this makes it easier for others when packing for a trip to this cottage!
