The Space:
Located on the shores of Saint Joseph Bay and the Gulf of Mexico; Pelican Bay Cabin is the ideal vacation destination offering swimming, kayaking, fishing, nature photography and beach combing.
Spectacular views of Bay, the ‘old salt pond', beautiful sunrises and wildlife.
Our cabin is a cozy, one room suite with kitchen, table that seats 4, comfy sitting area with a flat screen smart TV, Queen Bed, and a bathroom with shower stall.
Our kitchen is stocked with everything we think you'll need during your vacation with us. Microwave, blender, coffee maker, crock pot, dishes/silverware, electric range (no oven), cookware, utensils, glassware, and much more! We strive to start all guests off with a supply of:
Dish soap
Hand soaps
Garbage bags
Paper towels
Toilet paper
Please note: there are no washer and dryer facilities on this property.
A screened porch extends the indoor and outdoor feel with a picnic table. Sun and nature lovers can relax on the open deck overlooking the Bay.
Under the cabin there is plenty of parking, outdoor hot/cold shower and private dressing area.
Prepare your catch of the day with charcoal and propane grills. The access to the bay is a short walk down the main path of Old Saltworks to the community boardwalk.
The Loggerhead Run Bike Path is an eight mile trail on Cape San Blas that runs the length of the Cape from St. Joseph Peninsula State Park to Salinas Park along Hwy 30E/Cape San Blas Road, and is great for walking, jogging or biking and is just on the main road up from the unit.
Beach access is less than a mile at Salinas Park or at The "Rock Wall."
Pelican Bay Cabin is a non smoking unit, and is pet friendly for an additional fee. (dogs only please) Bookings through a third party site (VRBO), will have this fee added onto your reservation at the office.
Children are welcome at Pelican Bay Cabin.

During the Civil War, the Confederates used a pond on the property to distill salt, which was used for preserving meat and tanning leather; in 1862, the saltworks were destroyed by cannon fire.

Florida's First Railroad Florida's-constructed for the Lake Wimico & St. Joseph Canal & Railroad Company. Work began in 1835 and the first train ran in March 1836.
The Florida Constitution - memorial is to commemorate the birth of the State of Florida and the assembling of the first Constitutional Convention in 1838.
