About this property
Beach and Bay access!. Close to State Park! Boat friendly.
Whether you love sunning and swimming at the beach or fishing and boating on the bay you'll find the best of both worlds in Cape San Blas. The beach has been voted number one beach in America numerous times and St. Joseph's Bay is know to be one of the top fishing destinations as well. Our house, Sundance Cottage, happens to be right in the middle of both.
Nestled in the sand dunes of Cape San Blas, it is about 250 yards to the deeded accesses of both the beach and the bay. Sunbathers will enjoy the outdoor shower and bathroom after a day on the beach and fishermen will find the fish cleaning station a handy addition after a successful day of fishing. With ample parking underneath the house there is plenty of room to bring your boat or waverunners which can be launched at St. Joseph's State Park, just 2/10 of a mile from the house.
With three bedrooms and three baths (one is outside but the shower and toilet are enclosed), the house will comfortably sleep six people. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, 55”smart TV, private bath with walk in shower , and French doors which lead onto the back deck that overlooks the dunes.. The other two bedrooms each have queen-size beds and share the full bath conveniently located in the hall. One of the queen bedrooms has a 43” smart TV as well.
Everyone will enjoy watching the 65” Smart TV in the large, comfortable sofas and chairs. Bring your laptop and get online with our broadband, wireless, high speed internet connection.
Since Cape San Blas is not known for restaurants and night life we keep the kitchen well stocked with plenty of cookware and utensils and the pantry stocked with spices and staples so you'll be able to cook your fresh catch of the day on the large stainless steel grill or the charcoal grill under the house. There is also plenty of deck furniture for outdoor dining as well.
So if you're looking for a place that's somewhat off the beaten path you have found it here. Uncrowded beaches, endless shelling, fantastic fishing, or just boating around the bay are just a few of the things to do. Rent a bike and ride for miles, rent a kayak and ride the waves, or just enjoy the beautiful, serene enviornment with your friends and family. Cape San Blas is not just the 'forgotten coast'...it is also an undiscovered Paradise.

About the host
Hosted by Mark Jones

My husband and I share ownership of this home with his brother and wife. We are from northeast Alabama. We enjoy boating, fishing and enjoying the beach and surrounding area. We love sharing our home with guest looking for some peace and quiet, beautiful beaches and the best sunsets year round in the Florida panhandle.
Why they chose this property
We first visited the area over 20 years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. We've always vacationed in the panhandle...mostly Destin and it reminds us of what Destin used to be like when we were kids. We like the laid back atmosphere, uncrowded beaches, excellent fishing and peace and quiet.
What makes this property unique
Our home is only 2/10 of a mile from the entrance to St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park so if you bring a boat you are very close to the boat launch there. Additionally we have an excellent deeded beach access with only private homes there so the beach is never crowded. Our deeded bay access is great for fishing the grass flats for speckled trout and redfish as well as launching a kayak or canoe. Our neighborhood, Peninsula Estates, is very peaceful and quiet so most times you can still hear the surf from our outside decks.
