Served its Purpose

The house was very clean, check-in was easy, property manager communicated quickly with any questions or concerns we had. The property was located in a not so desirable area, the neighbors argued and yelled all night, and the beds were not comfortable.

Beach getaway

We absolutely loved this home, but the neighborhood isn’t the best the house is amazing and there are cameras on all 3 doors so if anything we’re to happen it would be recorded. We all loved this house and the check in/ out process was absolutely easy. I would definitely book here again in the near future

Pensacola

House was very nice, and clean. Adjacent properties were not so nice and clean. There was also a lot of loud vehicle traffic and jet engine noise from nearby Pensacola Naval Air Station (to be expected!). So, five star rating for the rental property, but only three star for the location.

Welcome to Pensacola! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to stay with us. Your trip is important to us, and we want it to be as memorable, and delightful as it can possibly be. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, please let us know. Pensacola has been our home for five years and counting. We live in the same neighborhood as the AirBnB you are currently visiting, so if you have any questions about the area, we would be happy to answer them for you. Although we are nearby, for your privacy we typically do not drop-in unless requested by you, or the situation requires. Just a little about your hosts: Melvin is a retired military flight instructor, who trained new aviators in the T-6 Texan II, at NAS Pensacola's Sherman Field. As the former Mrs. Pacific Islands, Andrea worked with Hawaii congressional members to pass legislation protecting children from abduction. After 23 years of service to our country, we are here now to serve you, and grateful for the opportunity!

Why they chose this property

This home housed countless military families from all around the USA, since 1956. A labor of love, the remodeling of this historic bungalow was completed in November 2021, as our family project, as Melvin retired from military service. The property sits upon land that once served as a fish camp in the late 1800's and early 1900's, where fishing vessels once launched from Bayou Grande, only a few yards away. Now you will continue the legacy as you stay here, and set out on your own adventures!

Staying here takes the guesswork out of planning your trip because of the location. Being central to the Pensacola area, no destination is too far, and the best attractions are nearby!
