The farm-style cottage has everything needed for a peaceful, tranquil retreat, yet is conveniently close to shopping as well as spa and dining visits to Refuge, Carmel Valley Ranch and Bernardus Lodge. The thoughtfully designed kitchen features a full-size refrigerator, chef’s gas stove, microwave and dishwasher. Double pane windows brighten the dining area. Tiled shower is brand new. The living room features a 65-inch TV, Wi-Fi and electric fireplace. Step into the bedroom (with 55-inch TV) and discover a California king-size bed enrobed in Egyptian cotton linens. Everything’s been thought of, from easy parking to blackout shades on the windows. And the cottage environment is hypoallergenic in almost every way. Situated just beyond the fogline, the cottage can serve as your base for experiencing the beautiful Monterey Peninsula.
*** Please excuse the unfinished front yard, not landscaped. The main house is rustic and waiting for a makeover. Please be aware of (possible) two happy dogs, greeting you during your stay. Mizuno; yellow lab, 7 years. Wilson; white with black spots - 18 months.

Tranquil cottage

Great little cottage at the end of a private, peaceful road lined with beautiful coastal oaks. Fully equipped kitchen, even with butter and cream in the refrigerator. Nice size bedroom with a comfortable king size bed. Lots of windows to let in the light, and the cool evening breeze. One of our favorites!

Perfect Carmel Valley Cottage

Beautiful, comfortable cottage with amazing hosts. This was a relaxing, delightful place. Excellent launching pad for adventures to Carmel by the Sea, Carmel Valley Village, Monterey, Big Sur.

Perfection!

My husband and I enjoyed every single minute of our 5-day stay in this wonderful cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything one needs. Jung has thought of everything her guests will need in order to have the best vacation! One of our favorite things to do while at the cottage was to go down by the river and drink coffee and just relax! I highly recommend this cottage and I can’t wait to go back to the area and stay here again!

Nothing short of magical!

Our stay at Jung and David's cottage was a dream come true. The cottage was impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect retreat for our birthday getaway. Nestled next to the picturesque Carmel River, it offered a serene ambiance that allowed us to relax and unwind. Being conveniently located near both Carmel-by-the-Sea and Carmel Valley Village, we had easy access to explore the surrounding area. Jung and David were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel truly welcomed, and we enjoyed getting to know them, their two lovely dogs, and hearing about the chickens on their property. Their recommendations for dining and local attractions were spot-on, enhancing our overall experience. The highlight of our trip was not only local tourist attractions everyone is there to see, but also spending time by the river, lounging in the Adirondack chairs, and reconnecting with nature. The lush greenery surrounding the cottage at this time of the year added to the tranquility of the setting, making it a truly memorable experience. In conclusion, our time at Jung and David's cottage was nothing short of magical. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, grateful for the wonderful memories created during our stay. My husband and I both grew up on this beautiful Monterey Peninsula. We've been married for 20+ years. We are raising 3 strong, intelligent and beautiful daughters. Our oldest attends SBCC. Our middle attends USC and the youngest is in 8th grade at Carmel Middle. We enjoy watching our girls play sports for their schools. We are an active family who enjoys hiking and playing beach volleyball. My husband has been a Realtor for over 20+ years and has his license with Sothebys. And I work for a local newspaper. We love living in mid-valley because the weather is warmer and we're not too far from Carmel Beach.

Why they chose this property

Recently re-modeled. Almost everything is new. It's on a dead-end street, so it's very private and quiet. And we're about 8 minutes to Carmel Valley Village. And only about 12/15 minutes to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea.
