My immediate family stayed here with my now adult siblings as a quiet place to rest while we put our father to rest in the Creede Cemetery. It was clean and comfortable, the instructions were clear and even had pictures to help. We really enjoyed the board games that were offered especially since I won at Trivial Pursuit!
Mark was a great host. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to arrive 2 days after our planned start of the reservation. Mark checked his bookings and offered us 2 days extension, without question or charges. Nice cabin for family to stay in and nice location in South Fork!
We had to check in early and the owner was awesome to help us out. The house runs off a well, and the well quit making water. 2 mornings we were without water, but the owner was super quick at having water hauled in for us. We had a bear visit a few nights and he loved our trash!!! The house is very roomy and quite there is no ac so it gets a little warm in the evenings but cools off great at night. Overall the owner and the house even with the water issue was very nice!!!! Thanks Mr. Boggess
Our family hadn't gathered in about a decade. We enjoyed sharing stories and laughing loudly. This property was the right size, isolated enough, and in a beautiful location for our get-together.
The sleeping arrangements were ideal for our group. The cabin was nice.
Was shocked to find only 5 dinner plates, 4 saucers and no bowls, especially when it was listed to accommodate 12. We prefer not eating off plastic, and avoid the massive trash waste of disposable plates, but ended up having to purchase these locally.
There were moldy leftovers, and items that I can’t imagine eating without having been the one to open and know the history of crowding the refrigerator. The freezer, all cabinets and pantry were packed with groceries and random items.
Apart from the kitchen frustrations, it was a fun stay. Cousins had a blast with an upstairs and downstairs. It was really nice to have a table we could all gather around.
Our family visited Southfork, Co with a party of 8 family members. We were in town to ski the Wolf Creek area. The cabin was just off the major Hwy, easy to locate, and convenient to stores and restaurants. The cabin was spacious with plenty of seating for eating, playing games, or watching television. We found everything we needed to cook homemade dinners at the cabin. Even though there was only one bathroom to serve a 3 bedroom home that sleeps 12, we had no problem with 8 guests. The Cabin was just a short drive (17-20 min) to the ski area and about the same the opposite direction to Monte Vista to Thrift Shop, buy souvenirs, and enjoy a nice meal out. Our family would rent this unit again.
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and stocked well. Only missing a toaster (or maybe we couldn't find it). The owners were easy to get ahold of and very helpful. It snowed over 40 inches before we got there so getting in the driveway was a little bit of a challenge but we made it! Even had deer come right up to us each night! Awesome experience. Would rent again.
We went out on a limb with this new listing and couldn’t be more impressed! The owner was so kind and answered all of our questions.
The check in process was a breeze! Cabin is extremely clean and very accommodating.
The weather was excellent for our trip. There are dirt roads that lead up to the property. However, there is an alternate route with a harder surface that provides an easier terrain to access the cabin.
