Before requesting a stay, please send me a message or query so that becomes clear. We don't support back to backs since COVID to protect everyone. We would still love to see you if it can work out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay well.
After renting beach houses on the Oregon Coast for over a decade, we finally achieved our dream of building our own. This home was built in honor of my Mother Barbara Cosetta Wright who was known as Cozey because she welcomed all who appeared at her door with good company and a great meal. We took the experiences we gained from renting beach houses and designed what we believe to be Manzanita's finest. It comes as no surprise that the majority of those who rent Cozeys have stayed there before. To date we have had three marriage proposals and two wedding at Cozeys. You will feel the warm spirit as soon as you enter our home.
The outside is wrapped in cedar with a large open deck and outside speakers, and a two car garage. Don't let the simplicity of the exterior fool you, when you open the front door, one will find a beautiful quality craftsman home built by Sunco Homes in Salem Oregon.
The 700 sq ft great room has a stacked stone fireplace capable of warming the entire room. The floors are white oak throughout the home. The dining area seats 10, custom granite counter tops with a bar that seats 4, a gourmet kitchen and wonderful pacific and mountain views await you. There is a corner window seat for reading or relaxing. Underneath the window seat you will find games, puzzles, and a small library of reading material above. The full stereo system has an ipod jack and speaker controls in every room. Cozey's also has two TV's , both with Rokus, one with cable. DVD player, cd player, and wireless internet. There is a charcoal bbq, a gas bbq, bicycles and kites to enjoy as well.
An arched door separates the great room from the sleeping area so that those who wish to sleep can do so without being bothered by those who stay up late.
The large master bedroom and bath include a Jacuzzi tub with a view of the Pacific or Neahkahnie Mountain. Double showers, double sinks with granite counters and a king size bed. Two back bedrooms contains queen size beds. They are connected to a Jack & Jill bathroom with double sinks and a door separating the shower and tub area. Bedroom number 4 has a king size bed. . All bedrooms have either built in or stand alone dresser drawers. There is one full size futon bed in the great room should you need additional room for sleeping.
The bathrooms are designed so that the shower facilities can be closed off from the toilet facilities to offer dual use when necessary. Our home is equipped with two water heaters and an outside shower for those covered with sand. The laundry is located in the garage. Two dryers
Our home is wheelchair accessible with an access ramp and wide hallways to accommodate wheel chairs. There is a bar by the jack and jill toilet and the master shower has a portable shower head.
All bedding, cooking utensils and place settings are provided. The only thing missing is you.

Wonderfully laid out and maintained house. Comfortable extremely well equipped and the view from the house and deck are marvelous. could not have had a better experience. Host extremely responsive.
Grandma, Grandpa, Sons and wives, and two young grandchildren had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The bedroom/bathroom spaces were perfect for our three couples and two children (almost 3-year-old and 6-month-old). We loved the easy walk to the beach, and the beautiful ocean views right from the house. The window seat was a favorite spot for all, and the large dining table was wonderful for family meals and game space. It really was an ideal home and location for our family gathering.
This is a wonderfully equipped house in a great location. I was originally concerned that it might be a little more cramped than preferable, but the public spaces are actually larger than they look in the photos. A nice property over all and one to which we would return.
We enjoyed our family time in Manzanita. The property is beautiful and location glorious! We’ll never forget our walks on the beach and hikes through the nearby parks and mountains. We enjoyed cooking together in the well-appointed kitchen. The owner is friendly and responds to questions quickly. There is a generous supply of towels and linens and four bikes! We hope to return.
We've used home rental services quite a bit - most of them on the Oregon coast. This place is by faaaaar the best house we've seen. I don't know where to begin. Warm water shower out on the deck for apres beach clean up. Power outlets everywhere. Open living/dining/kitchen room. Window seats facing the ocean. Two clothes dryers. Solid construction - you won't feel Uncle Bigfoot's footsteps as he crosses the floor. Ceiling is a cross between cathedral and pagoda. one-hundred thumbs up.
We have been coming to Manzanita for 34 years and as our family has grown and needs have changed we've had to mix up our rentals over the years. This home, by far, is the loveliest, cleanest and most equipped. And on top of that it has an unbelievable and unobscured view. When we weren't physically on the beach we could enjoy the sounds of the waves and the view from the deck or from inside. What we also really loved is that this is the first home that was completely accessible for two of our kids who use walkers and wheelchairs. There was no carrying kids up stairs, because everything was on one floor and the ramp on the side provided a way in. Our backs thank you!:-)Thank you for building such a beautiful home and for sharing it!
Cozey’s is the perfect Manzanita beach getaway! Gorgeous views from the living room, master bedroom, and deck, of the ocean and the beach. The beach access trail is right next to the house. My husband, son, and I spent lots of time walking together on the pristine beach, watching the amazing sunsets, and enjoying the peace and beauty of the ocean. The house is beautifully designed. One of the best we’ve ever rented on VRBO. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook. Lots of puzzles and games to play. Great sound system for music. DVD player to watch movies at night. Beds were very comfortable. The setting though is the best part of staying at Cozey’s. We never wanted to leave! Lots of fun things to do in the area though too: We enjoyed a day of hiking to Falcon Head viewpoint and then tide pooling at Cannon Beach, another day renting kayaks in Wheeler Marina and paddling in Newhalem Bay, walking trails in the Newhalem State Park, and a fabulous dinner out at the Stephanie Inn at Cannon Beach to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. The hosts have gone out of their way to provide everything you will need to have an outstanding vacation at the beach. Denise was a pleasure to talk to and gave us so many great ideas and recommendations for restaurants and things to see and do. I highly recommend Cozey’s!! We definitely will be coming back in the future.
My family of 9 travelers, ages 3 to 69, recently stayed at Cozey's. All of us, even the 3 young children, have tried to find the words to describe our stay. It's hard. The word magical is a good word, but not quite big enough. All of us realized right away that we needed to have booked the house for many, many more days. When you step into the house, it feels like a home. It comes with a warmth and vibrancy that stays even after you walk out the door. This is a house that is much loved and you can feel it throughout the spaces. The spaces are so comfortable and the window seat always occupied, the beds are very comfortable, the entire house design puts your mind at rest. We just left a week ago and are already trying to figure out when we can go back. You can read the owner's description of all the amenities and know that they are accurate. There are so many extras in the house, really unbelievable. So many things for kids to have fun with. Being in this house with my family was really a dream come true. Everyone was sad to leave, but we will figure out how to return and make more joyful memories. This house is special.
lovely multi-generational experience
Our elderly parents wanted a trip to the coast. This is not easy with limited mobility.
We were so pleased to find a place where Mom could see the ocean easily and hear the waves. A kitchen where three generations could gather to cook and to eat and to laugh.
A home that is warm and inviting clean but incredibly comfortable and lived in at the same time. The warmth of the woodwork throughout the house is really lovely.
We found the kitchen to be full of nearly every gadget or gizmo we could hope to find. Dad can't hear anyone in a restaurant and it's just difficult to get places, so having a kitchen where we could cook three meals a day, with a fridge large enough to hold 10 days worth of groceries for the five of us... It was just everything we could have hoped for. Manzanita has some great restaurants but not a million of them and sometimes it's just easier to cook at home. Don't feel a need to come over prepared. You'll find all the pots and pans you need and the little market downtown has anything you forgot
We saw a lot of things that we didn't use ping pong table boogie boards lots of beach toys.
And lots of things we did use like a shower bench washer and dryer and lawn chairs!
It is very clear that every possibility has been imagined and they've worked to make so many of them real.
Our only slight thing to note, which may have been an issue particularly to the age of our group, was the lack of comfortable living ro
This house was better than expected! Cozy, comfortable, and clean with a great location. Beautiful ocean views from the main living area and a short walk down a sandy path to the beach. Tons of towels, linens, beach toys, kitchen/cooking items. The layout of the home was great for our family with young kids. The cherry on top of our amazing family visit was getting watch a herd of elk pass by the house on our last morning. We certainly want to come back for another visit!
This property is quickly becoming an annual tradition for my family! Fits 10 people (two sets of parents/kids and one grandpa) easily, and the location is wonderful. House is clean, well maintained, comfortable, and all around great!
It was just what four dear friends of 60 plus years envisioned. Easy walk to the beach, window seats to watch the waves in the rainstorms, drinking wine of course. It was perfect!!!
We had a wonderful stay at Cozeys over New Years! The view of the ocean was spectacular. The house was great for two families. Hosts were very attentive. Would definitely recommend and stay again !
This property is the best beach house that we have ever stayed in. The house is right on the dunes with a huge deck overlooking the surf. House is roomy, comfy, built for easy beach living and excellent wheelchair accessibility. Even has an outdoor warm shower to wash the sand off. Plenty of room to cook, play games, relax, etc. Two grills, plenty of games, books, kites, beach toys. Property manager super sweet and easy to deal with. 5 stars
Loved this property! We are an extended multi-generational family of 8, getting together for the first time in two years. WE had a toddler and a 4-1/2 year old. There are so many pros about it but here are a few: it is right on five-mile long Manznita beach and a 15" flat walk or 5" drive to downtown Manzanita. Manzanita has lots of small high-quality shops and restaurants, a good grocery story, a wine store and whisky bar, ice cream and candy shops for the little ones, and coffee shops... everything you need without the crowds of the larger Oregon coastal towns. There is spectacular beach walking right out your door with numerous other coastal hikes within a very short drive.
The house is located on a small dead-end lane. It is single story, which is fantastic if you have little ones. Floor plan is great, easy to sleep in or go to bed early if you so desire without disturbance from the main kitchen/dining/living room. The views of the ocean from the front rooms are spectacular, and the deck is great as well. The house was immaculately clean and is very well appointed with everything you might need, with a well-equipped kitchen, and outdoor grill. The house included lots of beach chairs, towels, and toys. Beds were very comfortable. Great wi-fi and stereo system as well. Communication with owner was excellent. I have rented many vacation houses over the past 10 years and Cozey's is now at the top of the list!
The house, location and Manzanita were all perfect! We unwound, enjoyed the beach and the surrounding areas!

I was born and raised in Oregon...spending a few weeks each summer in Long Beach, Washington. This was BEFORE the Astoria bridge and it was a big deal to take the ferry across the Columbia river. Fond memories of clamming, body surfing. We wanted to rediscover that time for our daughters and future generations.
Why they chose this property
My husband was travelling to Oregon to find a beach property to build on to prepare for our eventual return to our beloved Oregon. On the plane a fellow traveller suggested he look at Manzanita. We had visited there briefly during a stay in Cannon Beach and I had memories of my father who was a lifelong Oregonian saying it was his favorite beach as a boy.
What makes this property unique
Cozeys is a top quality home in a premier location. It is magical having had teacher reunions, engagements, weddings, recovery time for cancer survivors. You walk in the door and stress walks away.
