Wonderful escape

Our large extended family had a fantastic week at La Finca! We enjoyed everything about our stay. The house manager Courtney was very communicative and helped us coordinate many local events!

Beautiful spiritual place

We had an amazing time at La Finca. It's a very large and beautiful estate surrounded by nature, but still close enough for day trips to Barcelona. It looks a lot better in reality than in the pictures. Everything is really spacious and perfect for larger groups. The kids LOVED it! We also really appreciated the help we received from Courtney and her catering was delicious. Thank you so much. We'll be back!

Our stay at La Finca Barcelona

In principle, La Finca is an excellent and secluded location—a beautiful old house with nice touches and fantastic views and sunsets from the roof terrace. However, the overall condition of the place is not as advertised. It appears that the owner has not invested in any maintenance in recent years, which is evident on various levels, and this has made our stay much less enjoyable. The pictures and description on the website are misleading. We had no functioning air conditioning in various rooms during a week of heat wave in the area (despite A/C being advertised). There was an awful sewage smell in the extra house (health risk?), lots of mosquitoes (and mosquito bites in the group), given an infested puddle of water with no obvious purpose, and no insect screens. The small downstairs room in the main house should not be offered as a full bedroom, given its location (squeezed between the main entrance and the terrace) – the couple who slept in that room ended up moving in with others… The state of many kitchen appliances was below standard for the price, and several minor details didn’t work (light switches, coffee machine etc.). It appears that the owner has not invested in gardening or landscaping for a long time, which makes the entire place look abandoned. The bottom line is that this place is advertised as luxury accommodation, but its actual condition is poor. Given the above, we asked for a reduction in price from the owner, but to no avail. Do not recommend.

Mis-sold and in desperate need of maintenance.

We were so disappointed with our stay. Main house: Used condoms outside door Blood on sheets Lamps sparking and smoking No air con in all rooms Broken air con No fire alarm No carbon monoxide alarm Broken tiles Broken bannister Broken furniture Filthy floor Ran out of water Replaced with brown water Second house: UNFIT FOR HUMAN HABITATION Doors and windows didn’t shut Sewage smell Stained mattresses Wires out of wall Dirty kitchen floor No fridge Crawling with bugs No hot water Pool area: Nails sticking out of wood Cigarettes littered No steps in pool Litter Wasps nest in shower area Filthy sun beds No parasols Spa area: Dirty Does not have the views shown in the brochure Owner has not returned ANY of our communication. Members of our party got hurt / infected bites / injuries from some of these problems. Property has potential, lovely views and a nice pool but it has been left to disrepair. It does not look the same as in the brochure. We feel it was mis-sold and it seriously ruined our time. Cannot believe the owner hasn’t replied to any communication. We have taken photos. In particular, the second house was uninhabitable and the bites received from the open windows and dirty conditions actually became infected for one member, who had to receive medical attention. Pablo the maintenance man did try to sort some of these problems out but our holiday was impacted. So disappointed and sad!

Grande propriété avec très belle vue

Grande propriété avec chambres spacieuses et sdb refaites . Cuisine très bien pensée avec nombreux frigos et lave vaisselles. Piscine très agréable même s’il manque quelques transats . Vue magnifique sans voisinage . 2 bémols:- un accès mal indiqué sur route non bitumée ( piste de sable avec nombreuses ornières) , rendant plus compliqués l’arrivée et les déplacements vers les villes proches - une importante nuisance sonore liée à un refuge dans lequel des chiens, certainement seuls, aboyaient beaucoup. Nous avons toutefois passé un excellent séjour à la Finca.
