Relax with the whole family at this peaceful secluded place to stay, nestled in the oak trees, overlooking the water. Located mid-lake near Toledo Town, on the water in Slaughter Creek, with its own private boat ramp. This property is minutes away from Toledo Town restaurants, grocery store, gas and tackle. Two large decks, one for cooking, one for entertaining. Two covered areas for boats or vehicles, and plenty of parking. A fire pit area with firewood is provided for your outside enjoyment.

Fabulous cabin

Absolutely Amazing!!!

Wow! This was the best vacation home we have ever booked! There are so many extras it would be hard to name them all. The owners thought of everything. No need to pack extra supplies! Everything you need is there except food and toledo town is only a few miles away for shopping. There were so many extras like extra soft towels, bath soaps, toilet paper and tissue, foil, paper plates and extra garbage bags. They have a wonderful coffee bar set up with a keurig extra coffee pods, creamers and sweeteners. This house was spotless, comfy, and so perfectly relaxing. The owners are so nice and great with communication. We enjoyed our stay so much and loved fishing from the pier! Dont miss this one. Book it..u won't regret it..its PERFECT😁😁😁

The Perfect Getaway

The Martins have made this the best getaway place ever. Everything was just perfect from the coffee bar that our family loved to the surprise snack basket for our family. We even enjoyed the daily morning visit from the neighborhood puppy. The Martins want everything to be perfect and they have done it! From the boats to the cart to help with all the walking up and down the hill. They are the best host and very friendly and will get back to you within minutes with an answer to any question! Thank y’all so much for a wonderful stay! The girls had fun swimming and we had fun trying to catch some fish! Lol

I am a cabinet maker by trade for over 25 years now, beginning that trade in the Pineville/Alexandria Louisiana area. In November 2021, I completed the construction of my new cabinet shop and moved my business to the Toledo Bend area. This location is also where I built our Lake Home that was completed in May, 2017. My wife, Judy and I have 4 adult children and 10 grandchildren. We bought the property now known as "Lakeside Hideaway" in November 2021, began renovations in January 2022 and went live with AirBnB and VRBO in April 2022. We are enjoying being hosts and have met so many wonderful guests.
My favorite pass time is bass fishing and spending time with family.

Why they chose this property

Slaughter Creek is in the mid-lake area. The property is on the water and has its own private boat launch and dock. It is only five minutes from Toledo Town where many conveniences, such as groceries, gas, tackle, ice, along with restaurants and a hardware store are located.
The travel is on paved roads until reaching Castleberry Road, which is gravel. There is only 400 yards of gravel road until reaching the driveway of the rental.
