About this property

Negreet Retreat is a water front home located in a quiet calm cove excellent for fishing. A super short boat ride gets you to the main lake of Toledo Bend and a 5 minute boat ride to Cypress Bend resort. This new, clean and cozy lake house has its own private concrete boat launch, fishing pier and floating dock. 2 single person Kayaks are included for you use during your stay. The boat house has one powered boat slip ( sometimes 2!) for your use along with a fish cleaning station with water and electricity. Excellent views from the large patio with comfy furniture. Enjoy any type of water sports or just relax by the fire pit! Excellent retreat for relaxing and watching birds of all sorts. We have added a whole home generator so no worries there. We have No outrageous cleaning expectations! We just ask that you take trash to the road in a bag, we even provide the bags 😊.

1st annual Toledo Bend Huggins/Ramagos trip

Four longtime friends. We had a very relaxing fun time at your beautiful Negreet Treat. We will definitely be coming back. From the beautiful views to the beautifully decorated cabins to the huge back porch with the comfy lounging furniture. And those Eagles all around were awesome!

Best Spot on the Lake

This is our fourth time staying at this property. Tim and Valerie provide an excellent home to relax and enjoy time on the lake with family. The fishing is always spot on and the house has always been clean and comfortable.

Great Place.

Perfect size for 3-4 adults and a few kids. Everything works perfectly and as advertised. Literally the only negative we found, and it was a stretch, is a gravel road to property, and it’s in good shape. We’ll be staying again for sure.

Best place on Toledo Bend!!!

This was our 2nd stay and as usual, we had an amazing time! Best place to stay on Toledo Bend! Beautiful view, Boat house with automatic lift, private launch on property, fish cleaning station, and large covered patio with BBQ pit and gas fire pit. The hosts, Valerie and Tim, are wonderful!

Perfect place for a quiet weekend

Everything from beds to couches to patio furniture was comfortable. The house was clean and cozy. The neighborhood was quiet. The view from the patio was perfect for the morning cup of coffee. Caught lots of blue cat and perch from the dock. Caught lots of chunky bass within a half mile of the property on the lake. This was the best birthday weekend trip we’ve had in a long time and will definitely book again.

Lake getaway

The house was easy to find, easy checkin, clean & much bigger than it looks from the outside. The patio was wonderful it had everything needed to cook outside & comfortable patio furniture to enjoy the awesome views. We will definitely rent again.

Great family getaway

We are from the area and wanted a nice cabin to getaway for the weekend, this was perfect. We caught catfish around the clock. The perch weren’t biting just yet but we’re hoping to stay again soon. Cabin is directlyAcross from alligator hole.

We are genuinely impressed with your home. As owners of over 20 rentals ourselves we pride our properties on maintenance upkeep and cleanliness and you guys get an A+++ in our book. Great neighborhood and for those of us over 60 it’s the best in access out to dock and anywhere on grounds. The place was wonderful with the exception of the back porch that needed to be blown off and the cobwebs removed from the furniture. The only complaint we had! Enjoyed our stay greatly!

Great!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Negreet Retreat. Hosts have great attention to detail down to the snack bag and review book. Very clean, lawn manicured, great rustic interior design. Hosts responded quickly to any inquiries. Wonderful view of lake, sunrise and sunsets as the back of house faces somewhat south. We'll definitely stay again.

Quality Time with family

Loved this place! Beautiful view with great patio and deck. Our whole group was impressed with everything about it. Very comfortable for our group of 8. Felt very safe for our young kids which is a huge plus!

Peaceful

This weekend was everything we wanted it to be. We celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary. It was nice having some of our family with us. Sitting out on the patio looking across the lake in the morning with a nice breeze was heavenly. Fishing out on the pier laughing with family was even better. We night fished with a cool breeze and caught lots of fish. But released them all. It was was an awesome fun filled weekend and we loved every minute. Thanks for the awesome weekend.

Great trip

We had a great time. Plenty of space for us and 4 kids. When we weren’t on the boat they loved swimming around the dock, and we could watch them from the back porch.

Favorite spot on Toledo bend

This is our second stay here. Loved it so much the first time. Second time did not disappoint. Perfect layout. Patio is huge. Great for lazy afternoons listening to birds, reading and relaxing. Pier is nice. Had fun fishing off the pier and kayaking. Kitchen appliances are top notch. We will be back again and again.

The ultimate peaceful getaway

10 out of 10. House is beautiful and set up to entertain, beautiful property and plenty of area for dogs and children to play, boat shed is set up for a family to relax on or in the water and has everything needed to accommodate fishing and boating. Catch all the brim and catfish you want right off the dock. If you care to venture out in a boat there is a nice sandy beach 5 mins away. 100% going back!!!!

Awesome getaway

We love the property. The patio area had shade the entire stay. It was breezy and relaxing. The dock is fantastic and the floating dock is especially great for small children to swim off of. We enjoyed the convenience of a parking area for our boat and launch right on the property. We will return.
