Caribbean Oceanfront in Beautiful Bahamas!Affordable , family friendly!

The Bluemoon is situated at the end of a long white-sand beach, directly on a small private cove called 'Rose Cove by the locals because of the natural beauty of the location. A few steps are all that separate you from the brilliant blue Caribbean waters. The large elevated sundeck provides spectacular views of the South Palmetto Point beach and sunsets over Pineapple Cays just a short distance offshore.We have just added two kayaks for your enjoyment!

This spacious home can sleep 11 people in four bedrooms.4#(Pink Sands) master bedroom has a king bed, a private bathroom and a view of the ocean.1#(The Reef) has three very comfortable single beds 2#) (Sea Shells) Has two full beds and a bunk 3# ( Sea Glass) Has a queen and , a single. .Each room is individually air conditioned for your comfort.The living room and kitchen area are open and fresh with lots of windows and views of the water across the deck. Shade from the tropical rays is plentiful in the Bahamas room, which is screened in and connects the sundeck to the rest of the house.

The Bluemoon is the ideal location to soak in the tranquil sea or have a sunset cocktail on the deck or our small private beach. Our favorite restaurants are near by ...Unique Village for the best cracked conch on the island, everyone likes the French Leave restaurant 1684 , my personal favorite for lunch is da Perk coffee shop in Governers Harbour! Runaway Bay Marina is a short walk from the house.
Our caretaker, Mr. Aurthur Nixon can meet you at Governers Harbour Airport, handle any questions you may have during your stay and can also arrange rental cars or Taxis. Please give us a call , text or email we enjoying sharing and would be happy to fill you in on all that Bluemoon and Eleuthera has to offer.

There were only four of us but loved being able to have our own bedrooms. Very spacious in a beautiful setting. Found a great beach walking distance away that was great for beachcombing.

Family Vacation

Had a great time with the family. Got to see stingrays and sharks. Absolutely loved the view!!! Everything we needed was close by. Perfect spot in the center of the island!

Fantastic views

This house has one of the most beautiful sunsets… Our second time renting this beautiful house. We were a group of 8, with 4 kids, ages 4-14 the house is great for children. Snorkeling was best right outside the house.

Beautiful piece of paradise

The house was perfect for our size family and having the water so close was amazing! The cive was perfect for snorkeling and we enjoyed the kayaks. My only recommendation would be maybe adding some sun loungers. This has nothing to do with the property but recommended bringing off for the mosquitoes. Would definitely stay here again!

My Week in Paradise

Had the best time ever with my family. The house was fantastic and the caretaker took care of all our questions as well as acting tour guide. A few repairs on the stairs that lead to the water would be helpful but overall our stay was fantastic. Thanks Darlene R.

Great trip

It was our 1st trip to Eluthra. The house is comfortable and the water/beaches/reefs are beautiful. The winds can be tricky it there always seems to be a protected beach no matter which direction the wind was coming from. Howard was super helpful and can point you in the right direction no matter what activities you want to do.

The House was great

Blue Moon is a great place to stay, especially if you have a big group. The house has great air conditioning, all the kitchen items you would need and great views. The only downside to our trip during mid-February was the weather which was windy and rainy almost the entire time we were there. Certainly not the fault of Blue Moon. Both the owner and the caretaker were very communicative even though we had no problems with the property.

A little piece of paradise

The property is very spacious for larger groups. It is stocked with plenty of towels and wash cloths. We were concerned about finding open places as we arrived at the property on Christmas Day, but the property caretaker was kind enough to stock the property with a list of items we provided him. The property has a beautiful water view from the deck.

First time in Bahamas

House is large enough for all the family members. Great location for swimming. Kids had allot of fun. The only problem we had was with the noseeums. I read the review where bugs where mentioned, but take the bug spray and use it every time you go outside.

The house is not luxury but nice. It would need a little bit of maintenace, especially on the outside. The location is great, and the bay is wonderfull. If you are looking a vacation to enjoy the seaside and the nature this is a good opportunity. Negative points: Flies and mosquitoes, especially in the evening or during BBQ When we arrived nobody introduced and explained the house to us

Great time in Eleuthera

We were a family/friend group of 9 and stayed for a week. There were enough beds for all of us and having 3 bathrooms was a bonus. When the water was calm, we could walk down the steps and into the water. The caretaker and owner responded to messages in a timely manner. The caretaker brought over a propane tank for the grill the first night we stayed. The only thing not working, according to a note, was the oven. Since we never tried it I have no idea if that was true

Breathe taking views

The caretaker of this house Arthur was beyond helpful. We had a little hiccup when we first arrived but Arthur fixed it right away.. the house accommodated our family of 6 perfectly. We had our 4 kids with us and it’s very kid friendly. DVD players don’t work but really who comes to Eleuthera to watch TV… absolutely breathe taking views. Would definitely recommend this place.

Amazing stay!!!

Best vacation house ever!….could not have ask for a better location!!! The views are spectacular. Family of 12. There was plenty of room for us all to spread out. Seen so much wildlife. Water is super clear. Enjoyed the kayaks. House has all the amenities you could ask for. Quick to answer any and all questions. Highly recommend this home. Just steps from the water.

Paradise

This house is perfect for families and groups of adults. The house and property are as depicted in the pictures. Both are spacious and comfortable with enough room to spread out. All the basics are provided. The deck is large and has a wonderful view. The water access is great for swimming and kayaking. The central location provides close access to several great spots, and access to both ends of the island with a bit of a drive. I would definitely return. Highly recommended.

As the owner of Bluemoon , I welcome all reviews this is how we grow ! I would like all readers to know we have made updates and improvements ! Hooray screens have been replaced , I am here at Bluemoon now and bugs have not been an issue ! Because of the review saying bedding needed replacing , hooray new mattresses and 100 percent cotton sheets! A new stove has been installed and a fresh coat of paint is going on the bahamas room as I type, and new cushions on furniture, not perfect (yet) but looking awesome ! Thank you, Welcome and enjoy your stay at Bluemoon a great choice for large groups as well as honeymooners! The master bedroom "Pink Sands" is perfect for honeymooners overlooking the beautiful Caribbean ocean relax to the rhythm of the ocean waves!

Great Vacation

Our group of 9 had a great time in Eleuthera. The island was beautiful, and after some research, we were able to find some fantastic beaches. Being 4 adults and 5 kids, there was plenty of space to spread out in the house. The sunsets from the back deck were amazing, but lacked adequate seating to sit outside and enjoy; the sand flies were terrible too....recommend bug spray! With that said, we did have issues with one of the showers - just stopped working. We notified our main contact at the island, but communication was not great having to call him every day to ask for an update. We ended up connecting with the owner, and while the issue was unfortunately not resolved during our stay, the owner was accommodating and refunded part of our money. Overall, I would recommend this place due to the price. As others mentioned in their reviews, it could use a good cleaning, but for the price, it was nice.

Chris, Thank you so much for the 4 star rating , although you had some issues .The shower valve has been repaired , glad you were happy with the refund for any inconvenience . We do applogize finding a plumber days before Christmas in Bahamas was a challenge, glad you had another working shower. Also thank you for bringing to our attention that the outdoor seating was low , we have added more seating, of course we want everyone to enjoy the incredible views ! Bahamas is a paradise but not perfect , I am referring to the bugs ….I try to keep natural bug repellents around the house . Happy that everyone had a great time and that you discovered some of the wonderful beaches and had plenty of room at The Bluemoon and that you felt it was an overall good value. Many Happy Returns. Communion with our earth mother

We were a party of eight who came for an eight day stay and had the most wonderful time possible. We had no idea we were coming Easter weekend and that the entire island would close down, but we made the best of it and cooked out at the house and enjoyed every single beach around us.. We drove from one end of the island to the other and visited 4 to 6 beaches in snorkeled every single day. in the morning before we left, we would snorkel and play it in our very own bay. We watched a shark come daily and make rounds as well as a stingray. We saw multiple starfish an incredible amount of sand dollars the sunset each evening were amazing sitting on the porch and listening to music music was wonderful.. we lost power on our first night and it gave us the opportunity to sit out on the deck and watch the stars and it was amazing. We contacted the owner for help and he answered and responded immediately the caretaker Arther Nixon lives up the street helped us out. We had a car incident in the middle of the week and every single islander was there to help us. It was just one of the best experiences that we have ever had and we will definitely be coming back. On Friday night you have to go to Governors Harbor for the fish fry dance party. It’s a must.

Incroyable séjour

Nous étions une famille de 10 (grands-parents, parents, petits-enfants) et nous y avons séjourné pendant deux semaines. À notre arrivée, nous avons tout de suite été charmés par la maison et son emplacement. Chaque famille a choisi sa chambre dans laquelle nous avons pu avoir notre intimité malgré la cohabitation. Les chambres sont très confortables, climatisées et insonorisées. Seulement un petit bémol pour la chambre à 3 lits qui était plutôt humide. La maison est très grande, les espaces communs sont bien aménagés et la vue est à couper le souffle. Tout le nécessaire était disponible dans la maison, nous n’avons manqué de rien (lingerie, literie, vaisselle, ustensiles en grande quantité). Du café et de la nourriture de base étaient également disponibles à notre arrivée. La plage et l’accès à la mer étaient parfaits, autant pour les grands-parents que pour les plus jeunes enfants. Nous avons été agréablement surpris du vaste océan accessible devant nous. Nous avons apprécié avoir M. Nixon tant pour notre arrivée à l’aéroport, nos soucis en cas de besoin et pour notre départ. Il est très sympathique et fiable. La proximité des commerces, mais surtout Island Farm (♥️) nous a facilité la vie pendant notre séjour. Les épiceries étaient accessibles à 15 minutes de route à Governor’s Harbour. Les plages environnantes valent toutes le coup (Poponi, Ten Bay, Twin Cove, Savannah Sound, French Leave). Le snorkeling est incontournable à chacune d’elles. NOUS AVONS ADORÉ NOTRE SÉJOUR!

Wonderful location

Property was very nice with plenty of room to accommodate 7 of us (or more). Snorkeling and swimming was easy off the end of the garden, it is a really beautiful location - and Governor's Harbour is the nicest town we visited which is 10 minutes drive from the house. There were many power and water outages during our stay (regional problem, not the house), but we were out and about most of the time so it had a minimal impact on our overall enjoyment. A very friendly and peaceful environment, I also had never seen the Milky Way so clearly before at night. I would sincerely recommend this property for a vacation.

Prime location in Eleuthera

Overall we had a good time, glad we had a kitchen as food is very expensive on this island. House is dated which is ok but many holes in screens. Luckily the little mats weren’t too bad in the house. Great swimming spot with snorkeling and a beach around the bend

Bluemoon is owned by the Mills brothers and their wives. Jeff and Ulrika Mills live in California, Phoebe and Howard Mills live on the coast of South Carolina. We purchased the home from the original owner Ross Rogers , Mr. Rogers is an Architect from Canada and he built the home in the 1970s for his family. He and his family enjoyed many wonderful years on Eluthera. Mr.Rogers was an avid gardener, hence the beautiful tropical gardens!

Look no further, if you are looking for peace and tranquility in a tropical island setting! This house is perfect for a large family, the floor plan is layed out like the letter L with the long part of the L being a row of bedrooms each with a sliding glass door that opens up to the amazing blue carribean ocean view. The shorter part of the L being the kitchen , dining, living room area and the middle of the L is the decking ,looking out over the turquoise carribean ocean! This house was designed and built by the original owner and Architect Ross Rogers.
