About this property
Newly Remodeled Beach House on the Calm Caribbean, Walk to Town Restaurants
Welcome to Winfield Manor, a newly remodeled beach house steps from the Caribbean. Winfield Manor has been completely renovated, just completed in the fall of 2023, and is now available for rent.
Winfield Manor is fully air conditioned. It features three bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a full en-suite bath. The master bedroom and bath have ocean views.
The spacious great room also has ocean views from many windows. It features two full-size sofas and a 42-inch flat-screen TV. This is a smart TV with a Firestick that can play all internet-related subscriptions (Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix, Youtube TV, etc). We have a DVD player as well. Free internet is provided.
The modern island kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, range, oven, and microwave, as well as a stackable washer/dryer. The dining area, which also enjoys an ocean view, has seating for 6.
Outside, Winfield Manor has a screened porch and an unscreened patio that extends around two sides of the house. Both porch and patio have ocean views.
Step off the porch or patio into our large private yard. It is bordered by a small, very quiet street with the Caribbean Sea on the other side of it.
Amenities include AC throughout, WIFI, smart TVs with DVD, a Peleton bike, infant pack-n-play, toddler inflatable pool, and Mambobaby infant water float.
Winfield Manor is on the edge of Governors Harbour, the main town on the island. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, night spots, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, and a dive shop, all within a short walk of the house. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won't want to miss it.
Eleuthera is most famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. It has a population of just 8000, and everyone knows everyone. It's famous for being very safe. The snorkeling and diving on the island are world class. There are many reefs which you can snorkel or dive right from the beach. The fishing is also excellent, because the island is so undeveloped and thinly populated. Bonefishing is very big, as is deep sea fishing and reef fishing. You can fish on your own or hire a guide. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, sea kayaks, paddle boards, jet skis, and bikes. You can have a charter captain take you out for fishing, snorkeling, or diving excursions. There are several popular spots for cliff jumping, including some tame enough for children. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, dozens of beaches, each one unique, some historic churches and 19th century homes, and little villages to explore. There are local tour guides who can show you around. The island is truly magical!
